Role Overview:
- The Corporate Strategy team focuses on:
- Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture (JV) deals, investments, and key partnerships for CSG
- Long-range strategic planning activities (long-range plan, capital structure, shareholder analysis, and value creation)
- Supporting business units with their top strategic priorities and cross-functional strategic initiatives
- As part of the evolution of CSG's portfolio structure, the team is building valuation capabilities to support business unit capitalization, ownership design, and equity-related decision making
- We are looking for a lead to drive valuation, ownership, and equity modeling efforts across the organization
- As a core part of the team, you will support the implementation of key decisions related to business unit capitalization, employee equity programs, and structural initiatives
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, Corporate Strategy, and senior leadership)
Responsibilities:
The role will focus on the following areas:
Valuation & Financial Analysis
- Support standalone enterprise and equity valuations for business units and strategic initiatives
- Build and maintain DCF, comparable company, and scenario analyses
- Develop sensitivity analyses to support capital structure and ownership decisions
Ownership & Equity Modeling
- Develop and maintain ownership and capitalization models
- Analyze ownership outcomes, dilution impacts, and future equity capacity across a range of M&A and divestiture scenarios
- Support equity structuring and conversion related to employee programs and organizational changes
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support
- Support enterprise structural initiatives (e.g., organizational changes, business realignments, capital structure actions) by partnering with Finance, HR, Legal, and Corporate Strategy to align stakeholders and drive cross-functional execution
- Provide analytical insights to inform leadership decisions related to ownership, capitalization, and equity design
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Skills
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including experience building valuation and ownership/capitalization models
- Solid understanding of corporate valuation methodologies (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps)
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience, typically from Big 4 Valuation or Deals (Valuation / Modeling), valuation advisory firms, or corporate finance / strategic finance roles with strong modeling focus
- Experience supporting valuation, transaction, or capital structure analyses in a professional services or corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
NY generally ranges: $149,786-$224,680
CA generally ranges: $156,298-$234,448
All other locations fall under our General State range: $130,249-$195,373
