Managing a team tied to a defined product surface area creates repeatable experience in product engineering, cross functional tradeoffs, and operational discipline, all of which translate across B2B SaaS environments. Exposure to AI feature development adds a practical layer of modern platform thinking, from experimentation to measurable improvements in engineering throughput.
The position is best suited to an engineering leader who prefers hands on delivery accountability alongside people development. It fits someone comfortable operating through influence with Product and Design peers, and who values clear team scope over broad, ambiguous mandates. An in office Toronto hub also signals a preference for leaders who work effectively in a structured, collaborative cadence.
