As a Senior Security Engineer on the Swiss team, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for mirroring, improving, and implementing our global security frameworks within the Swiss AWS environment. You aren't just "running tools"—you are creatively engineering solutions to complex problems to ensure our regional presence is proactive and resilient. You will work closely with our global commercial teams to ensure consistency while solving the unique challenges of a localized, regulated environment.
What you will do:
Creative Engineering: Solve complex security challenges in AWS involving identity management, network segmentation, exposure management, and application-layer security.
Implement & Refine: Take existing global security automations (logging, alerting, scanning) and implement them within the Swiss environment, finding ways to improve efficiency through AI.
Operational Support: Act as a technical backup for the Analyst team on complex Change Management (CM) tickets and security reviews, providing technical validation for infrastructure updates.
Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource for the Swiss team, guiding junior-level staff through technical initiatives and complex remediation projects.
Security-as-Code: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement security-as-code, ensuring that defense is baked into the CI/CD pipeline.
What you will bring to the role:
5+ years of professional security experience in cloud-native environments.
Cloud Infrastructure Depth: Advanced-level understanding of AWS security services, IAM policies, and cloud networking.
Web App Security: Strong familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and tools like Burp Suite or AWS WAF to secure our environment.
Security Architecture Patterns: An advanced understanding of how various AWS components and security tools integrate, allowing you to build resilient, automated workflows that align with global standards while addressing regional technical debt.
Proactive Spirit: Ability to identify gaps in current automation and independently build the technical bridges to close them.
Location: Physical presence in Switzerland is mandatory.
Desirable experience with:
Linux server environments and ITSM solutions (e.g., JIRA).
Tool categories: Logging/SIEM/SOAR, EDR/Cloud Security, Vulnerability Scanning, and SAST/SCA.
Automation and scripting (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation).
Familiarity with Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR).
Certifications/Degrees (Advantageous but not required):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
