And, while we offer great benefits and perks like larger tech companies, our employees have the independence to make a larger impact on the company and take ownership of their work. Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.
As a Security Engineer for the Swiss region, you focus on the technical implementation and tuning of our security stack. You will move beyond "out-of-the-box" settings to build automated bridges between finding a vulnerability and fixing it forever. As a generalist on a lean team, you will be a key collaborator, ensuring our Swiss environment is configured to the highest technical standard while supporting the broader mission of the SecOps arm.
What you will do:
Technical Hardening: Apply cloud security principles to harden AWS components and implement detection configurations for identity-related threats and web application vulnerabilities.
Stack Optimization: Tune security tool configurations (Logging, EDR, Alerting) to ensure the team receives high-fidelity data and reduce operational noise.
Operational Backup: Support the Analyst team as a technical backup for Change Management (CM) and security reviews, ensuring technical accuracy in every update.
Automated Defense: Contribute to automation scripts and templates, mirroring global best practices to ensure a cohesive security posture across the Swiss footprint.
Remediation Engineering: Partner with service teams to help them understand findings and collaborate on automated, permanent solutions.
What you will bring to the role:
3+ years of hands-on security experience in cloud-native environments.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Linux environments and a strong understanding of AWS security concepts and web application security (OWASP Top 10).
Independent Thinking: Ability to solve a range of technical problems and align stakeholders to find the best security outcomes.
Operational Tuning & Noise Reduction: A disciplined approach to security tooling, with the ability to dive into EDR, SIEM, or Logging configurations to filter out false positives and ensure only high-fidelity, actionable data reaches the team.
Automation Aptitude: A "hungry" mindset with a desire to learn and contribute to security-as-code initiatives.
Location: Physical presence in Switzerland is mandatory.
Desirable experience with:
Linux server environments and ITSM solutions (e.g., JIRA).
Experience with tool types: Logging/SIEM/SOAR, EDR/Cloud Security, Vulnerability Scanning, and SAST/SCA.
Knowledge of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR).
Certifications/Degrees (Advantageous but not required):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
