Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Technical Project Management Intern role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of software delivery and real-world device programs. In a sector where many products are purely cloud-based, Flock’s platform ties data, privacy expectations, and operational reliability to hardware deployed in the field. That combination makes execution discipline and cross-functional coordination especially visible, and it highlights how SaaS organizations extend beyond the app layer into manufacturing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
For someone building a SaaS career, the internship offers a practical view of how product work becomes an operational system: planning, dependency management, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication across engineering and quality. Those fundamentals translate directly to common SaaS pathways in program management, product operations, and technical delivery, where outcomes depend on aligning teams and keeping complex work moving without losing traceability.
The role is best suited to early-career candidates who prefer structured problem solving and clear follow-through, and who enjoy being the connective tissue across specialized teams. It will fit someone who is comfortable learning technical context quickly, capturing decisions, and maintaining project hygiene in tools like Jira or Confluence, while staying attentive to blockers that can affect timelines and quality.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
