Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Cloud Security Engineer roles are increasingly central in SaaS as more product capability, customer data, and internal tooling consolidate onto hyperscalers. This position stands out for its explicit dual-cloud scope across AWS and Azure, paired with responsibility for security architecture rather than narrow operational monitoring. The emphasis on identity, access, and auditability aligns with the controls SaaS buyers scrutinise during vendor security reviews and enterprise procurement cycles.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work maps to durable, cross-company problems: hardening cloud foundations, closing control gaps, and turning security requirements into implementable engineering patterns. Building features around authentication and authorisation also creates a bridge between platform security and application engineering, a combination valued in modern SaaS organisations where security is expected to be embedded in product delivery. Experience interpreting logs and metrics for detection and response further strengthens an end-to-end security skill set.
This role is best suited to engineers who like mixing software development with cloud security design and who are comfortable collaborating across functions. It fits someone who wants ownership over security outcomes and can document decisions for broader stakeholders, while working in a hybrid, office-linked cadence in Bangalore.

- Develop and deploy security controls, such as identity and access management (IAM), network security policies, and encryption mechanisms.
- Leverage software engineering skills to create security-specific features, particularly in the areas of authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
- Create documentation and train and guide team members and other stakeholders on security best practices.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong software engineering skills, with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS of Azure, and a willingness to become proficient in both.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and services (e.g., AWS IAM, GCP Identity and Access Management, VPC security).
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols and technologies (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Thrive in a customer-focused, tight-knit and cross-functional environment - being a team player and willing to take on whatever is most impactful for the company is a must
- A proactive and positive attitude to lead, learn, troubleshoot and take ownership of both small tasks and large features
- Good coding skills (for example in Go/Python/Java/C++ etc)
