Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Product Manager role sits at the intersection of consumer SaaS product craft and platform-scale delivery. Playback is a core surface where engagement is earned or lost, and work here tends to be tightly coupled to real-time behavior, cross-device consistency, and partner ecosystems that extend beyond a single app. Within a subscription-driven product, the playback experience also becomes a proving ground for how personalization, controls, and context translate into repeat usage.
For a SaaS product career, the long-term value is in learning how to make incremental changes safely on a highly trafficked user journey while still pushing meaningful evolution. The emphasis on data, experimentation, and user insight reflects the operating rhythm of mature SaaS organizations, where product decisions are expected to be measurable and reversible. The need to translate complex technical systems into clear direction is also a durable skill across SaaS teams building at scale.
This role best fits a product manager who enjoys shaping interaction-heavy experiences and coordinating across engineering, design, and data without relying on a single domain to carry outcomes. It suits someone comfortable aligning multiple stakeholders and refining information architecture over time, particularly in mobile-first environments with many interconnected surfaces.

Job Description
We design Spotify’s consumer experience—end to end, moment to moment, across every screen, platform, and partner integration. Our mission is to make listening feel effortless, personal, and joyful for billions of users around the world. That means turning complexity into clarity across hundreds of touchpoints—from our mobile and desktop apps to the smart speakers, TVs, cars, and integrations where Spotify shows up every day. If it touches a consumer, we shape it. We bring deep insight into human behavior, design, and technology to craft experiences that feel intuitive, expressive, and unmistakably Spotify.
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the playback experience across Spotify’s mobile apps. This is one of the most highly used parts of the product, where millions of users engage with music, podcasts, audiobooks, and video every day. You’ll shape how content, controls, and context come together to create seamless, personalized listening experiences in real time.
