Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
CrowdStrike’s VP, Agentic Systems sits at a point where mature SaaS platforms increasingly differentiate through embedded AI, not just features. In cybersecurity SaaS, agentic workflows can change how detection and response products operate, and this role is positioned around turning large-scale behavioral telemetry into automated decision-making systems that can be operationalized across an enterprise product surface.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit signals exposure to the full lifecycle of applied AI in production: translating domain workflows into systems design, setting measurable outcomes, and building operating mechanisms that keep complex models reliable over time. Leading at the intersection of data science, engineering, and service delivery also builds transferable executive experience in how SaaS organizations align research, platform capabilities, and customer-facing outcomes without treating AI as a standalone lab function.
This role tends to fit a senior leader who is comfortable being both strategist and integrator, moving between technical depth and organization-wide alignment. It will suit someone drawn to ambiguous problem spaces where success depends on cross-functional influence, clear metrics, and an ability to shape how teams build, deploy, and govern AI systems in a real SaaS environment.

Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
About the Role:
The Data Science team is expanding and is looking for an experienced executive to lead our agentic systems research & development. CrowdStrike’s cybersecurity data is one-of-a-kind: we process nearly a trillion behavioral events per day.
CrowdStrike’s Data Science organization is evolving and growing — we operate at the cutting edge where Machine Learning, Big Data, and Cybersecurity converge. We are seeking a Vice President to provide visionary leadership and drive the next generation of agentic systems research and development. This executive will do more than oversee high-impact technical teams; they will serve as a strategic bridge between business and technology, translating complex requirements into scalable, enterprise-wide solutions.
With access to one-of-a-kind cybersecurity datasets — nearly a trillion behavioral events processed per day — the VP will shape the future direction of data science at CrowdStrike. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills and deep collaboration across the Data Science organization, as well as with stakeholders across both CTO and non-CTO teams. You will align with SVPs, and ICs alike to set a bold vision, define success metrics, form strategic alliances, and champion the team’s innovations and needs. This is a highly strategic and influential role at the forefront of CrowdStrike’s agentic systems strategy.
What You’ll Do:
Work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Threat Research
Work closely with subject matter experts in cybersecurity to understand analyst workflows and their security operations procedures
Lead the development of systems that automate analyst procedures using AI agents and devise systems that combine agents into increasingly complex workflows
Lead the research into new approaches to agentic planning
Collaborate and coordinate across Engineering, Data Science, and Managed Services teams
Establish robust operations for agentic systems
What You’ll Need:
A minimum of 12 years of experience is required in data science, computational research, or machine learning, with a demonstrated history of leading high-impact technical teams
Experienced leading teams building AI and agentic systems
Experienced in driving objective-driven data science projects
Familiarity with the cybersecurity domain
Demonstrated success in setting vision, influencing technical direction, and aligning cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
Strong leadership presence with excellent communication skills to engage across all organizational levels — from ICs to C-level executives
