Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Finance systems roles are often where SaaS businesses either gain leverage or accumulate operational drag, and this Finance Systems Analyst position sits directly on that fault line. With a clear emphasis on billing and revenue workflows inside NetSuite and connected tools, the scope maps to a common SaaS inflection point: moving from finance processes that “work” to systems that scale cleanly as customer volume and product complexity increase.
For a SaaS career, the durable value here is learning how subscription economics show up in real systems. Improving data integrity, stabilising integrations, and tightening the handoff between billing activity and revenue outcomes builds judgment that transfers across SaaS categories, especially where RevOps, accounting, and product monetisation intersect. The work also develops a practical toolkit for turning ambiguous process gaps into configurable, auditable system changes.
This role tends to suit professionals who like structured problem solving and prefer fixing root causes over maintaining workarounds. It aligns well with someone comfortable operating between finance stakeholders and technical system constraints, and who wants to be measured by reliability, clarity, and repeatable process design in a modern SaaS environment.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to support and scale our core finance systems, with a primary focus on NetSuite and related integrations. This role sits at the intersection of Accounting, Finance, and Systems, and is critical in ensuring that our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and system-driven.
Today, many finance processes still involve manual work or require intervention due to gaps in system design, data structure, or integrations. This role will focus on identifying those gaps, stabilizing existing processes, and driving improvements that reduce manual effort and improve data reliability. As the company continues to scale, this role will play a key part in building a strong, scalable finance systems foundation.
What You'll Do
Own and support NetSuite functionality across key areas such as GL, AP, AR, billing, and reporting, ensuring the system is reliable and aligned with business needs
Work closely with Accounting to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and convert manual processes into system-driven solutions
Maintain and improve data integrity across finance systems by managing mappings (GL, vendors, cost centers) and resolving inconsistencies at the source
Support billing and revenue processes by ensuring correct system behavior, especially in areas like billing schedules, adjustments, and downstream revenue impact
Troubleshoot system and integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement scalable fixes rather than temporary workarounds
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Payroll, RevOps) to support finance-related system improvements and ensure smooth data flow across systems
What You Have
4–6+ years of experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP systems in a finance or systems-focused role
Strong understanding of accounting processes, including month-end close, AP/AR, and basic revenue concepts
Experience working with system integrations and data flows across finance tools (e.g., expense, procurement, payroll systems)
Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into system configurations and improvements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across finance and business teams
Compensation
$136,000-204,000 USD
