Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Product Designer role stands out in the SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of core product experience and AI-enabled workflows in a communications platform. Dialpad’s focus on AI-powered business communications signals a mature SaaS category where differentiation increasingly comes from trust, usability, and end-to-end workflow design rather than standalone features. The remit spans multiple product challenges, which is often where platform-level design decisions and cross-surface consistency become most visible.
From a SaaS career perspective, the role offers sustained exposure to the full loop that matters in subscription products: discovery, release, iteration, and measurable outcomes. The emphasis on balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals maps directly to how SaaS teams prioritize roadmap tradeoffs. Experience contributing to a design system and collaborating closely with engineering also translates well across SaaS organizations that ship continuously and need scalable interaction patterns.
This position is best suited to a designer who is comfortable leading ambiguous, multi-stakeholder initiatives and who treats AI as a product capability that must be understandable and dependable. It will fit someone who prefers shipping and learning through production feedback, and who can operate across strategy and implementation details in a hybrid, office-connected setup.

Your role
Help build the future of AI-powered business communications at Dialpad. The Dialpad Design team is an integral part of Dialpad’s success. We’re assembling a world-class team of curious problem-solvers who are passionate about keeping humans first in this new age of AI. We believe that great design is a strategic differentiator for Dialpad, but that differentiation doesn’t just happen. It takes a dedicated, collaborative team that works hard to advance Dialpad’s mission to empower businesses and their people to be wildly successful while doing career-defining work.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s excited to explore a variety of product challenges across Dialpad. You’ll collaborate closely with other designers, engineers, and product managers to craft intuitive, scalable experiences that help people connect and communicate better—powered by AI.
This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys learning quickly, adapting to new problem spaces, and experimenting with AI tools within a growing design practice.
This position reports to our Sr. Director of Product Design, and is looking for someone to join the team in our London office. This is a hybrid position with an expectation to be in the office 2-3 times per week.
What you'll do
- Lead complex, high-impact product initiatives from discovery to release.
- Ship regularly—prioritizing real-world impact over pixel-perfect mockups.
- Design AI-powered features and workflows that feel intuitive, are trustworthy, and valuable.
- Work alongside engineers to refine implementation details and ensure high-quality execution.
- Ship front-end development into the codebase.
- Use necessary tools to create prototypes and/or tools to test workflows, interactions, and edge cases.
- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strengthen and evolve Dialtone, ensuring scalable, accessible, and cohesive system design.
- Identify new opportunities where AI and automation can create meaningful value for customers.
- Mentor other designers and elevate the craft, speed, and quality of how the team ships.
Skills you'll bring
- Have 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality, thoughtful product design work.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivered experiences.
- Be highly comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading complex projects independently.
- Think in systems—designing cohesive end-to-end experiences rather than isolated screens.
- Comfortable working in front-end code and deeply collaborating with engineering.
- Experience working with AI tools and designing AI-enhanced experiences.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively across disciplines, including with leadership.
- Care deeply about craft, detail, usability, and measurable product outcomes.
- Proactively identify problems, propose improvements, and drive work forward without waiting for direction.
- Have experience designing AI-native products, conversational interfaces, or automation workflows.
- Have directly contributed to production codebases.
- Have experience building SaaS or enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Be familiar with communication technologies (voice, messaging, contact centers, or real-time collaboration).
- Have helped evolve or scale a design system.
- Bring experience with experimentation frameworks and data-informed iteration.
- Contribute to the broader design community through writing, speaking, or mentoring.
