Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Manager, Taxation role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of recurring-revenue operations and multi-entity governance. Freshworks is described as a global SaaS organization with enterprise-grade products and a large customer base, which typically brings complex questions around transfer pricing, provisioning, and compliance across expanding footprints.
For a SaaS career, the value is in learning how tax functions scale alongside international go-to-market and finance operations. The remit spans India direct tax ownership plus coordination across several jurisdictions, creating exposure to how SaaS companies manage close cycles, reporting discipline, and evolving global frameworks such as BEPS and Pillar Two. The emphasis on automation and ERP-linked process improvement also reflects a broader shift in SaaS finance toward system-driven controls and repeatable workflows.
The role is best suited to a tax leader who prefers hands-on accountability while partnering closely with senior finance stakeholders and external advisors. It will fit someone who enjoys translating technical positions into operational decisions, maintaining control rigor, and improving processes without losing detail. It also aligns with professionals who want their tax expertise to remain closely connected to how a SaaS business runs day to day across geographies.
