Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Product Finance Analyst role sits at a point where modern SaaS economics are being rewritten by AI. As more products incorporate LLM-driven functionality, infrastructure spend becomes a first-class product constraint, and pricing often shifts toward consumption and usage signals. The remit described here connects financial decision-making directly to product strategy, with attention on unit economics, margin drivers, and monetization mechanics rather than back-office reporting.
For a SaaS finance career, the role offers durable exposure to how product choices translate into revenue quality and cost structure. Building models around cloud and AI usage, supporting pricing and packaging work, and developing KPI cadences are all experiences that transfer across subscription businesses and usage-based platforms. The cross-functional scope also reflects how finance increasingly operates as a partner to Product, Engineering, and GTM in data-informed prioritization.
This position is best suited to someone who prefers analytical work that influences roadmap and investment tradeoffs, and who is comfortable working through imperfect data to create decision-ready frameworks. It will appeal to professionals aiming to deepen product and infrastructure economics skills, especially those interested in the intersection of SaaS monetization and AI cost drivers.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About The Role
Glean is at an inflection point where product decisions carry real P&L consequences from AI infrastructure costs to consumption-based pricing models. We're looking for a highly analytical and strategic Product Finance Analyst to partner closely with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Leadership teams.
This role will help drive investment decisions, pricing and monetization strategy, unit economics analysis, and long-range planning for Glean's rapidly growing AI and product offerings. You will play a key role in translating product strategy into financial insights and helping leadership make data-driven decisions on where and how to scale the business.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to evaluate product investments, roadmap prioritization, and resource allocation
- Build and maintain financial models for new products, AI usage economics, and infrastructure cost forecasting
- Analyze product-level revenue performance, customer adoption trends, and margin drivers
- Support pricing, packaging, and monetization analyses across SaaS and AI consumption-based offerings
- Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership reviews and operating cadences
- Partner with GTM and Revenue Operations teams on customer profitability and expansion analyses
- Drive annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning
- Build cost-per-query models for LLM and cloud infrastructure spend and surface actionable optimization opportunities
- Improve financial processes, reporting automation, and decision-making frameworks
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or product finance at a high-growth technology company
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering organizations
- Understanding of SaaS business models and cloud/software infrastructure economics
- Familiarity with AI/LLM cost structures, usage-based pricing, or cloud infrastructure economics is a plus
- AI-first mindset — actively uses AI tools (e.g., Glean, ChatGPT, Cursor) to automate analyses, draft models, and accelerate research workflows, not just basic awareness
- Strong SQL and BigQuery skills; experience with BI tools or financial planning systems is preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting product-led growth (PLG) or AI-native products
- Knowledge of consumption-based revenue models and overage mechanics
- Prior exposure to cloud cost allocation (GCP, AWS, Azure) or FinOps practices
- Exposure to SQL and basic scripting to analyze large datasets and support data-driven decision making.
- Startup or high-growth SaaS experience where you've owned end-to-end financial modeling with limited guidance
Location:
- This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Bangalore office)
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
