The Role
We’re seeking a specialist engineering recruiter to lead engineering hiring at Omnea - not a generalist talent lead. We want someone who has deeply immersed themselves in engineering recruitment, understands the London market inside and out, and has played a key role in scaling an engineering team from 20 to 100+ engineers.
You’ll work directly with engineering leadership, enjoying full autonomy over the hiring process. You’ll own sourcing, pipeline management, the hiring process, and the candidate experience from start to finish.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role. Every hire you make will directly influence the company’s trajectory.
What You'll Do
Source, engage, and recruit Senior product engineers in London’s highly competitive market
Build and maintain a warm pipeline of passive candidates—the best engineers are rarely on the market
Shape and champion the engineering EVP
Partner with engineering leadership to define and uphold a high hiring standard, even as we grow quickly
Design and refine the hiring process to reduce time-to-hire without compromising on quality
Think creatively about Omnea’s presence to candidates, including brand, content, community, and events
Own your pipeline metrics and know your numbers
What We're Looking For
2+ years in-house at a respected, fast-paced London tech startup dedicated to engineering hiring
Experience scaling an engineering team from around 20 to over 100 engineers
At least 5 years of engineering hiring experience in total
Deep knowledge of London’s competitive engineering market
A track record of hiring to a very high standard—think Monzo, Attio, incident.io, PostHog, Paddle level
Active contributions to an engineering EVP
Ability to have informed, credible conversations with Senior and Staff-level product engineers about why Omnea is worth their time

Interview Process
Stage 2: Hiring manager screen (30 mins, remote)
Stage 3: Take-home challenge followed by a challenge review (45 mins, remote)
Stage 4: In-person with Head of Talent and CFO/COO, and coffee with an Omnea engineer
Stage 5: Final interview with CEO & Co-Founder
