Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This junior frontend role stands out in SaaS because it sits directly on the product surface area where users experience value: the browser extension. Work on autofill, contextual analysis, and proactive security features reflects a mature, product-led SaaS motion where reliability and trust are part of the core offering, not an add-on. The remit also signals a modern SaaS stack, combining web UI craft with ML-informed experiences and privacy-sensitive design constraints.
For a long-term SaaS engineering career, the role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of shipping user-facing capabilities in a widely distributed client environment. Browser extensions force disciplined engineering around compatibility, observability, testing, and performance, which translates well to other SaaS surfaces. The emphasis on AI-assisted development and integrating GenAI tooling into day-to-day delivery also aligns with how SaaS teams are evolving their SDLC practices.
This position is best suited to early-career engineers who enjoy product engineering close to end users and who like debugging real-world behavior across varied websites. It will appeal to those who prefer collaborative development, care about code quality, and want to build breadth across frontend, security considerations, and applied AI within a SaaS product context.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About the role
You will join the Analysis and Contextual Experience team, which is responsible for the autofill engine and proactive security features at the core of the in-browser product experience. Our goal is to improve the online browsing experience of our users, leveraging cutting-edge technology to help them access services more quickly and easily while keeping them safer online. This encompasses ML-based webpage analysis for autofill and phishing detection, as well as in-browser nudges and alerts that guide the user to stronger credential security habits.
As a junior web software engineer, you will contribute to developing the Dashlane browser extension by building and integrating our innovative solutions in a smooth in-browser user experience. You will combine frontend expertise with a forward-thinking AI mindset, integrating GenAI tools throughout the SDLC to accelerate development velocity while working in a deeply collaborative team to secure millions of digital identities.
Location-Specific Information:
You will be based in Paris, with a hybrid policy (3 office days / week) and English as your working language. At Dashlane, we embrace a hybrid culture that combines the best of both worlds: the creativity and energy of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Our model is designed to strengthen team connections while supporting individual productivity and work-life balance. To maximize collaboration, we come together in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while Wednesdays and Fridays offer more flexibility for focused work.

In your role, you will:
-
Work deep in the browser-extension stack: content scripts, service workers, Manifest V3 APIs, isolated worlds, and iframe hierarchies.
-
Strengthen security features such as anti-phishing / phishing resistance, and help explore new privacy layers (e.g. data-loss prevention for AI tools).
-
Building and integrating innovative features based on local analysis of in-browser context using state of the art solutions including custom trained models and genAI models
-
Implement projects end-to-end: write clean code, easy to maintain and understand, implement tests, and manage deployment. You will lean on AI coding platforms like Claude Code to streamline this lifecycle, driving development velocity while maintaining high code quality.
-
Act as an AI Pioneer within the engineering organization, demonstrating proven experience integrating modern GenAI tooling into day-to-day workflows.
-
Learn every day, and share your knowledge with your co-workers.
Requirements:
-
2+ years of experience in software development
-
2+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript development

1+ years of experience with frameworks such as React, AngularJS or VueJS
-
Experience working in a product development team with agile practices
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
-
Interested by quality and security of applications
-
Fluent in AI-assisted engineering
-
Fluent in English (as the team is international)
We're Also Looking For:
-
Curiosity about how the web really works under the hood (DOM, browser extensions, content scripts)
-
Curiosity about integrating and exploiting LLM/SLM in browser extension
-
Genuine interest in security and privacy
-
Comfortable debugging behaviour across many real-world, uncooperative websites
-
Willing to develop a T-shaped skillset
