Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
CorePlan’s Integration Engineer role sits at a core SaaS pressure point: making a product usable inside customers’ existing operational systems. In vertical SaaS, especially for industries still moving from spreadsheets to platforms, integrations often determine adoption, data quality, and long-term retention. The emphasis on APIs, events, and auditable data flows signals a product that must operate reliably in real-world, high-stakes workflows rather than in isolated app environments.
For a SaaS career, integration work builds durable leverage across product, engineering, and customer outcomes. End-to-end ownership from discovery to go-live develops the ability to translate domain workflows into technical contracts, establish repeatable patterns, and harden systems for production support. Exposure to authentication, data formats, relational stores, and cloud-adjacent tooling maps cleanly to common SaaS integration surfaces, whether working with partners, marketplaces, or enterprise customers.
This role suits engineers who enjoy boundary-setting work: protecting the core product while extending it through reusable interfaces. It will fit someone comfortable collaborating directly with customers and vendors, and who prefers pragmatic delivery paired with operational discipline. It also aligns with professionals who want their technical decisions to be visible in customer success and platform scalability.
