Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Cohere sits in the enterprise SaaS layer of the AI ecosystem, where product value is tightly linked to trust, security posture, and real customer outcomes. A Business Development Representative role here is notable because the commercial motion involves translating frontier AI capabilities into practical use cases for large organisations, rather than selling a narrow point solution. That combination tends to sharpen how SaaS teams position new categories when buyer education is still part of the sales cycle.
For a SaaS career, this kind of BDR seat builds durable fundamentals around pipeline creation, qualification discipline, and CRM hygiene, while also developing fluency in selling technical products to senior stakeholders. Exposure to collaborating with marketing on messaging and learning to navigate longer enterprise evaluation cycles can carry forward into future roles across sales development, account executive tracks, or adjacent go to market functions in SaaS.
This role is best suited to professionals who enjoy structured outbound work and can stay curious about complex products without over relying on scripts. It will fit someone who wants measurable ownership over early funnel performance and is comfortable operating with evolving messaging as products are newly productised. Remote friendly setup may also appeal to candidates who work well with distributed collaboration and clear written communication.
