Job Description
We’re seeking an Event Marketing Manager to own and shape marketing and demand-generation events at PayNearMe, a rapidly-growing fintech company. In this role, you’ll manage tradeshows, conferences and related networking events, taking responsibility for the planning and execution as well as evaluating each event’s success. This is a highly collaborative position that will work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and external stakeholders to ensure every event aligns with company goals and delivers measurable impact.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in B2B tradeshow and event marketing in past roles, with extensive experience in trade show management, vendor relations, campaign activation and cross-functional planning. They thrive in fast-paced environments, have a strong eye for detail, and are comfortable managing complex event portfolios.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own events marketing for PayNearMe, implementing current processes and suggesting improvements that will streamline planning and maximize opportunity creation through events
- Manage the planning and execution of events across multiple industry verticals, including trade shows, micro-events, and sales-led events (roadshows, dinners, etc.)
- Lead with creativity, blending logistics with a unique vision that translates marketing messaging into booth design and brand activations on site
- Source and/or manage existing external vendor relationships that contribute to the success of the function, including warehouse/shipping partners, on-site tradeshow contractors and others
- Work with marketing and sales leaders to ensure events drive brand awareness, opportunity creation, and/or client retention KPIs, depending on the event type
- Be an excellent planner and communicator that acts as the single source of truth for a high volume of events
- Track and manage the event marketing budget, along with all expenses tied to an event
- Collaborate with demand gen, brand, marketing operations, sales, and/or leadership teams to ensure alignment across functions, resulting in seamless events
- Understand success metrics for shows and create mechanisms to measure and improve performance, including ROI reporting, budget reconciliation and internal surveys
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in event marketing or a related field, preferably within B2B technology or fintech
- Exceptionally organized and strong in project management skills, with ability to handle multiple simultaneous events
- Strong communicator and negotiator with experience working in a fully remote environment
- Decisive and practical mindset, able to make informed decisions in critical situations
- Experience working with tools such as Asana, Salesforce, Google Suite, ChatGPT and other tools required to successfully perform the job
- Proven ability to align event strategies with business objectives
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for tradeshows or team related events

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000

The Company collects identifiers and professional or employment-related information, which may include some or all the following: real name, nickname or alias, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, membership in professional organizations, professional certifications, language skills, and current and past employment history. The Company collects this Personal Information to evaluate previous job performance and consider applicants for positions, to develop a talent pool and plan for succession, to conduct applicant surveys, to maintain an internal applicant directory and for purposes of identification, to promote the Company as a place to work, and for workforce reporting and data analytics/trend analysis.
