Snowflake is rapidly growing its Alliances & Channel Organization. Value Added Reseller (VAR) and Reseller partners are an integral part of Snowflake's business, helping customers unlock the power of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. We are looking for a self-driven go-getter to help grow VAR and Reseller partners into profitable revenue streams and accelerate the growth of the business across EMEA.
We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of successfully working with current and potential partners in the EMEA VAR and Reseller community, such as SCC, Crayon or Software One. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen in growing a business, channel, or partnership, with a passion for working closely with sales teams throughout the sales cycle. Knowledge of the broader data & AI platform ecosystem, products, and competition is essential to influence and be the partner’s trusted advisor.
Success in this position requires the candidate to be adept at managing relationships, executing programs, setting goals and metrics, and tracking and ensuring progress. The candidate will also need to help shape and deliver on a cross-functional strategy, working closely with the Partner Sales Director to build mindshare among Snowflake VAR and Reseller Partners.
As a Partner Sales Engineer - VAR/Reseller EMEA, you will:
Help Solution Providers/Practice Leads with the technical strategies that enable them to sell their offerings on Snowflake.
Forward Strategic thinking - quickly grasp the essence of new concepts and business value messaging.
Strong understanding of how VAR and Reseller partners make revenue through the Industry priorities & complexities they face and influence where Snowflake products can have the most impact for their product services.
Help develop and launch joint differentiated solution offerings with VAR, Reseller Partners, and System Integrators taking part in the Resell motion.
Engage in conversations with other technologists, providing presentations at the C-level.
Act as a key technical resource during the sales cycle, enabling partners to effectively position and sell Snowflake solutions.
Create and develop technical champions in your accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win
OUR IDEAL PARTNER SALES ENGINEER - VAR/Reseller EMEA WILL HAVE:
5+ years of industry experience within Partnership/Alliances Technical Pre-sales in the EMEA VAR and Reseller ecosystem, with a focus on selling business solutions and outcomes.
Ability to handle business topics of varying complexity and priority in an efficient way.
Strong architectural expertise, with the ability to provide upskilling workshops to Partner Solution Architects on various areas of the Snowflake Data Platform, implying:
Experience in developing and deploying data pipelines with different data platforms. SQL and PySpark are basic requirements, with experience in technologies such as Spark, Scala, Kafka a plus, and Apache NiFi a major plus.
Proficiency with at least one public cloud platform (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) and experience with widely used DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalents, as well as Cloud integration technologies such as Fivetran, Azure Data Factory or AWS Glue or equivalents..
Developing and deploying Machine Learning models through the full Data Science life cycle, is a plus.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and product managers, in an international environment.
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or proven professional experience in the data and AI field in technical roles.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
