Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
In SaaS, solutions architecture sits at the seam between product promise and real-world deployment, and this Associate Solutions Architect role is positioned squarely in that integration-heavy reality. The remit spans connecting a SaaS platform into an enterprise application stack, working with APIs and cloud concepts, and navigating identity and security considerations that commonly shape time-to-value for customers.
For a SaaS career path, the long-term advantage is breadth: repeated exposure to onboarding patterns, troubleshooting workflows, and the mechanics of making software “stick” inside complex environments. Experience building scripts, templates, and documentation also maps well to mature SaaS operating models, where reusable implementation assets reduce variance across customers and create clearer handoffs between Solutions, Support, and Engineering.
This role tends to suit early-career technologists who want a customer-facing track without leaving hands-on technical work behind. It fits people who learn best by investigating issues end-to-end—reading logs, reproducing problems, and translating findings into clear technical notes—while gradually taking more ownership in customer conversations and deployment workstreams in a hybrid office setting.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About the Role:
Glean is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect to join our growing Solutions team in Nashville and help customers successfully deploy and integrate Glean. This is an entry-level role designed for early-career talent (recent Computer Science / Computer Engineering graduates or similar backgrounds) who want to grow into a customer-facing technical role.
You’ll work alongside a team of Solutions Architects to support customer onboarding, integrations, and troubleshooting, while building your skills in cloud technologies, APIs, and enterprise architectures.
You will:
- Support our commercial and corporate customers as their primary technical advisors— helping them design and implement Glean within their environment.
- Assist with onboarding data sources and integrations (e.g., SaaS apps, internal systems), including configuration, validation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Help build and maintain tools, scripts, and templates that make it easier for customers to integrate with Glean based on their business application stack.
- Participate in technical investigations: review logs, reproduce issues in test environments, and document findings so senior teammates and engineering can drive a fix.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Delivery Excellence, AI Outcomes, Support, and Product to ensure customers have a smooth deployment and are set up for long-term success.
- Contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation, runbooks, and best practices so future teammates and customers can move faster.
- Join customer calls (shadowing at first, then leading parts of the conversation) to walk through technical setup, explain options, and capture requirements.
- Learn Glean’s platform in depth and gradually take on ownership of smaller customer workstreams and configurations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) with a > 3.75/4.0 GPA.
- 0–2 years of industry experience in software engineering, technical support, solutions engineering/architecture, professional services, or similar technical roles; internships, co-ops, or significant academic projects are a plus.
- Comfort in reading and writing code in at least one of: Python, Java, or Go (coursework, projects, or internships all count).
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON, and interest in building or integrating APIs as part of real-world systems.
- Basic familiarity with cloud concepts (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), Linux command line, and debugging techniques like log analysis or tracing requests — or a strong willingness to get hands-on quickly.
- Excited to learn about Enterprise AI, networking, security, and identity (SSO, SAML, OAuth) in enterprise environments over time.
Location:
- This role is hybrid (3-4 days a week in our Nashville office)
