CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Procurement Process Execution & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all existing policies and procedures surrounding the Purchasing, PR/PO lifecycle, and New Supplier Onboarding processes (U.S. and International), while educating the business on required adherence
Monitor and manage all new supplier requests and procurement engagements flowing through the Procurement system, tickets, email, and other internal communication channels
Assist business stakeholders with the required next steps and guidance throughout the engagement, while managing and communicating expectations on turnaround time
Collaborate directly with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure vendor compliance with the required Vendor Risk Assessment and contractual requirements
Maintain a clear understanding of banking requirements to ensure successful and compliant payments to global vendors, working closely with Accounts Payable
2. System Management, Documentation, & Change Management
Support new Procurement system implementation(s), maintenance, and ongoing configuration efforts
Actively identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline and optimize core Procurement processes (e.g., invoice processing, risk assessment, supplier classification)
Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and distribution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process guides for all core Procurement functions to ensure consistency and compliance
Design, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, patches, and new module deployments to ensure functional alignment with business needs
Drive change management activities related to new system features or process rollouts, developing training materials and conducting sessions to ensure high user adoption across internal teams
Consistently monitor the Supplier Onboarding and general Supplier Management processes for both U.S. and abroad, actively identifying gaps and areas for systemic improvement
Take ownership of specific assigned Supplier Onboarding and general Procurement system areas and processes, driving them to successful optimization
3. Stakeholder and Supplier Engagement
Serve as a dedicated Procurement partner and liaison to the business, ready to support all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor management activities.
Build effective, strategic relationships with the business, vendors, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, AP, Legal), maintaining confidence and consistent correspondence regarding pending action items
Communicate with new and existing suppliers directly—via email and verbal channels—to follow up on questions, gather further information, and collect necessary documentation to complete Supplier Onboarding and general maintenance tasks correctly
Support the team in measuring, managing, and improving supplier performance against negotiated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and established quality metrics
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and administrative ability in all procurement and process activities
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in Procurement & Supplier Management
Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), the PR/PO lifecycle, and both U.S. and International Supplier Onboarding/Management
Understanding of Global Indirect Procurement
Prior experience in a high tech company is strongly preferred
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
Functional understanding of legal concepts as related to vendor agreement contracts
Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, internal business customers, and senior management
Understanding of accounting/finance practices, with experience working directly with Accounts Payable
Proven ability to drive positive change and build strong stakeholder relationships
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams
Self-starter who can build Supplier Onboarding & Supplier Management credibility within groups not accustomed to working with procurement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (experience with Snowflake, SQL is preferred)
Process and customer service driven with a self-starter mentality
Experience with P2P platforms such as Zip is a plus
