Job Description
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you are the frontline architect of Freshworks’ market expansion. You will be responsible for orchestrating high-impact outreach strategies to penetrate assigned regions and secure high-value opportunities. This is not just a prospecting role; it is a strategic consultancy position where you will research complex organizations, map high-profile personas, and initiate the conversations that fuel our global revenue engine. You will be the face of Freshworks, translating our product vision into compelling business value for some of the world’s most reputed brands.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Prospecting: Conduct rigorous research to identify and qualify high-potential opportunities within assigned territories, ensuring a high-density, quality pipeline.
Account-Based Intelligence: Execute deep-dive research into target accounts to understand business drivers, organizational structures, and competitive landscapes.
Executive Engagement: Master the art of the "Cold Start"—initiating and nurturing conversations with C-suite and high-profile stakeholders through sophisticated, multi-channel outreach.
Brand Evangelism: Act as the primary ambassador for Freshworks, delivering high-impact pitches and product demonstrations that resonate with prospect pain points.
Creative Campaign Orchestration: Design and deploy bespoke, creative email and social campaigns that cut through market noise to capture executive attention.
Collaborative Synergy: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Pre-sales teams to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and alignment on regional GTM strategies.
Operational Excellence: Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene (Salesforce), ensuring all meeting intelligence, stakeholder maps, and sales metrics are captured with precision.
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 7 years of high-performance experience in a customer-facing Sales or Business Development role, preferably in SaaS.
Operational Commitment: Willingness to work in-office 5 days a week to foster a high-energy, collaborative "OneIndia" team environment.
Education: Strong academic background with a proven ability to grasp complex technical ecosystems.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strategic Qualification: Mastery of discovery techniques—asking the "right" open-ended questions to uncover deep-seated customer pain points.
Regional Intelligence: Deep understanding of the regional nuances and cultural drivers of your designated market.
Sales Analytics: Proficient in interpreting sales metrics and numbers to pivot strategies and optimize outreach velocity.
Communication Mastery: Elite verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts with clarity and empathy.
Presentation Prowess: Ability to build and deliver compelling PowerPoint presentations that visualize the Freshworks value proposition.
