Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Product Manager, AI role stands out because it sits at the intersection of SaaS product craft and the current shift toward AI-native workflows. Airtable operates in the no-code application space, where product decisions directly influence how non-technical teams create software-like solutions, making AI capabilities less about novelty and more about practical adoption inside everyday operations.
For a SaaS career, the work described offers durable experience in translating emerging platform capabilities into repeatable customer value. The emphasis on trust, failure modes, and intent-based interaction design reflects problems that many SaaS products face as they embed AI into core journeys. Building metrics around impact and partnering closely with users also maps to the operating rhythm of modern subscription businesses, where retention and expansion depend on measurable product outcomes.
This role is best suited to product leaders who prefer ambiguity and enjoy shaping early product surfaces with cross-functional partners. It fits someone who can move between customer discovery, data-informed prioritization, and technical tradeoffs without needing fully defined specifications. An interest in human-centered AI design and platform-style products would align well with the scope described.

Job Description
The Opportunity
Airtable lets teams build custom apps to run their operations without writing code. Hundreds of thousands of organizations use it to manage everything from product launches to customer pipelines to content calendars.
We're in the middle of a fundamental shift in how people build and interact with software. AI is changing what's possible: users can describe what they want in natural language and get working applications. They can create intelligent agents that take actions on their behalf. The floor for who can build powerful software is dropping fast.
We're hiring PMs to join the team building Airtable's AI-native future. Our current areas of focus include:
- AI-assisted app building: helping users go from intent to working application through natural language
- Intelligent agents: enabling users to create AI agents that take actions on their data, from enriching records to automating workflows
- Analysis & synthesis: making the data in Airtable accessible through natural language Q&A and insights
These areas are early, high-ownership, and central to Airtable's product strategy. You'll help define what AI-native software building looks like.
What you'll do
- Own and ship AI features that help users more confidently and efficiently build and work with Airtable apps
- Drive product decisions on complex AI interaction problems like how users express intent, how we build trust in AI outputs, how we handle failure modes
- Partner with customers to identify repeatable use cases and workflows where AI delivers differentiated value
- Develop deep understanding of user needs through research, data analysis, and direct customer engagement
- Stay at the forefront of what's possible with AI and identify opportunities to apply advances in model capabilities to Airtable's product
- Develop and track metrics that measure the success and impact of AI capabilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and GTM teams to ship high-quality AI experiences
Who you are
- 3-5 years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products users love
- Experience building AI/ML-powered features, or strong familiarity with LLM capabilities and constraints
- Strong product instincts: you can look at a flow and identify what's confusing, what's missing, what could be better
- Comfort with ambiguity: you can make progress on loosely-defined problems and have experience shaping zero to one features
- Technical fluency: you can have productive conversations with engineers about architecture tradeoffs
- User empathy: you understand how non-technical users think and can translate complex capabilities into intuitive experiences
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions quickly with imperfect information
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate a product vision and direction to both technical and non-technical audiences
