The opportunity
Flock Safety is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join the Logistics and Distribution team. In our warehouse in Atlanta GA, you will work with a team of dedicated employees in working toward Flock's overall mission. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role by helping the team produce finished goods that are essential to our Field Operations team. Our Assembly Technicians are responsible for the building and repair of solar panels that are critical infrastructure for our crime prevention technology. This position will help support all areas of the Warehouse including but not limited to: merchandise handling, receiving, shipping, packaging, and the handling of cardboard and waste for team efficiency as needed.
The Skillset
Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and forklifts, with proper certification and training.
1+ year of experience in a warehouse or retail environment.
Proven experience in material assembly or a related field.
Proficiency in using basic hand tools and power tools.
Must have a basic knowledge of Word, Google sheets, Sales Force experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment for extended periods.
Solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to them consistently.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Physically capable of performing receiving and material handling activities
Ability to bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to meet or exceed attendance requirements, providing reliable and predictable attendance

90 Days at Flock
The First 30 Days
Build a strong foundation in assembly, QA, shipping, asset creation, and daily warehouse routines.
Meet daily production expectations while learning product types, tooling, safety standards, and inventory workflows.
Become proficient in core systems (Salesforce, Rippling, Slack) and understand SF locations, scanning, and serialization.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail while actively seeking ways to add value.
The First 60 Days
Consistently meet individual production targets with accountability for quality and output.
Operate independently across assembly, shipping, and inventory processes while collaborating effectively with the team.
Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and proactively surface improvement opportunities.
Develop working knowledge of upcoming projects, inventory audits, and operational impacts on the Coop.
The First 90 Days
Fully own daily production workflows, prioritization, and task switching with speed and accuracy.
Demonstrate proficiency in asset creation, inventory visibility, and Salesforce location management.
Take initiative to support inventory counts, audits, and cross-functional supply needs.
Operate as a trusted, reliable contributor with a lean, quality-first mindset across the Coop.
Salary & Equity
In this role, you’ll receive a starting hourly rate between $21 and $23 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
Location
This role is based in Atlanta Georgia, where you’ll join our dynamic team to collaborate in person and drive innovation. Candidates must reside in or relocate to Atlanta for this position.
