About Standard Bots
Standard Bots builds industrial robotic arms — the RO1 and RO3 — designed to make automation accessible to manufacturers of all sizes. We're a fast-growing, hands-on team where every person on the floor has a direct impact on the quality and reliability of the products we ship.
Role Overview
The Receiving & Warehouse Specialist owns the physical flow of materials through our facility — from inbound receiving to kitting, storage, and outbound shipment support. You'll work closely with our operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure parts arrive correctly, are stored properly, and reach the line on time. Accuracy and ownership are non-negotiable in this role.
This role is on-site at our manufacturing facility in Glen Cove, NY. This is a first shift position (Monday-Friday)
Note: We are unable to sponsor Visas for this role.
What you'll do
Receiving & Inspection
Receive, count, and verify all inbound shipments against POs and packing slips
Inspect incoming materials for damage, quantity discrepancies, and labeling accuracy; flag non-conformances immediately
Enter receipts into the ERP system (Epicor) accurately and promptly
Coordinate with Procurement on PO discrepancies, shortages, and supplier returns
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate bin locations and stock levels across all storage areas
Perform cycle counts and support periodic physical inventory audits
Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance for time-sensitive or serialized components
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
Kitting & Production Support
Pull and kit parts for production work orders per BOM requirements
Coordinate with production leads on material staging and schedule priorities
Identify and escalate component shortages ahead of production start
Shipping & Outbound
Support outbound shipments including RO1/RO3 units, spare parts orders, and RMA returns
Pack and label shipments per carrier and customer requirements
Generate shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, labels) in the ERP/shipping system
Compliance & Safety
Follow all safety protocols for material handling, forklift/pallet jack operation, and PPE
Maintain documentation for inbound hazmat or restricted materials where applicable
Support ISO/quality audit requirements related to receiving and storage
What you'll bring
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or stockroom role — manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with an ERP system (Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong attention to detail — discrepancies get caught here, not on the line
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand truck)
Reliable, organized, and comfortable working at pace in a small team
Nice-to-haves
Experience receiving mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components
Forklift certification
Familiarity with cycle counting methodologies and inventory control best practices
Exposure to lean manufacturing or 5S practices
