Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Business Development Representative role sits at the commercial front line of a B2B SaaS platform in the planning and performance management category, where buying decisions are typically multi stakeholder and tied to measurable business outcomes. The remit spans outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and appointment setting, making it a clear entry point into how modern SaaS revenue teams create pipeline alongside marketing and Account Executives.
For SaaS career builders, the value is in developing repeatable prospecting craft that transfers across products and markets, including research driven targeting, objection handling, and disciplined cadence execution. Working closely with AEs and a global business development leader also provides exposure to how SaaS teams define qualification standards, convert interest into sales conversations, and use activity metrics to manage performance. Those foundations tend to remain relevant as companies evolve their go to market motion and tooling.
This role will suit professionals who prefer structured outreach, enjoy refining messaging through iteration, and are motivated by measurable goals. It is also a strong fit for candidates aiming to build toward closing roles over time, or for those who want a grounded view of SaaS sales cycles before specializing further.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
