Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Group Product Manager role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of platform experience and daily workflow adoption. Owning the “front door” of a product, spanning homepage, notifications, and mobile, is a lever that influences how customers discover value across the entire application. The emphasis on an AI-powered cockpit also reflects a broader SaaS shift toward consolidating insights and actions into a single operational surface rather than scattering them across features.
From a SaaS career perspective, the scope builds durable product leadership skills: shaping experience strategy, aligning multiple internal groups around shared UX patterns, and balancing platform stability with continuous delivery. Work on onboarding, discovery, and engagement loops is highly transferable across B2B SaaS, particularly for products that expand in breadth over time and need coherent navigation, personalization, and cross-surface consistency.
This role is best suited to a product leader who enjoys system-level thinking and mentoring senior PMs while staying close enough to execution to resolve tradeoffs. It will fit someone drawn to ambiguous, cross-functional problems where customer context, data, and product craftsmanship must converge, and where mobile is treated as a first-class channel for professional users rather than a companion app.

Job Description
We’re looking for a Group Product Manager to lead our Core Experiences products. This group is the "Front Door" and the operational heart of Gong. Our mission is to provide a seamless, contextual platform that adapts to how and where our customers work. This group is responsible for transforming the Homepage into an AI-powered cockpit—a centralized hub that brings together the most relevant insights, actions, and tools in one place —and also owns additional capabilities, such as the Mobile application.
You’ll Own:
- The Experience Strategy: Set the high-level vision for Gong’s "Front Door" (Homepage, Notifications) and drive the product planning and design process to translate this vision into a product that performs, scales, and is easy to use.
- The Meeting Cycle & Mobile Vision: Lead the strategy for the end-to-end meeting journey, leveraging native capabilities to create "mobile-only" value for users on the go.
- Product Empowerment: Lead a group of senior product managers, each working with a dedicated product team (UX, Engineering), ensuring they are empowered to drive their roadmaps while growing professionally.
You’ll Solve:
- Customer-Centric Prioritization: Work with customers, users, and internal stakeholders to truly understand, map, and prioritize complex needs into a cohesive product roadmap.
- Ecosystem Cohesion: How do we enable multiple independent business groups to surface insights on the Homepage or via Notifications without overwhelming the user?
- Frictionless Discovery: How do we use Continuous Onboarding to ensure that as Gong grows, users don't get "lost" in the new value we ship?
- Strategic Resource Allocation: Balancing the need for long-term platform stability and scalable product patterns with the rapid delivery demands of various product squads.
You’ll Impact:
- Platform Stickiness: By providing a world-class Mobile and Homepage experience, you will increase the frequency and depth of daily user engagement.
- PM Velocity: Your work on shared components and clear UX patterns will act as a force multiplier, allowing all PMs at Gong to ship faster and with higher quality.
- Customer Retention: By perfecting the Onboarding journey and the Homepage cockpit, you will ensure users realize value immediately and consistently, directly impacting the bottom line.
How You’ll Succeed Here
- An Experienced PM Leader: A top-talent leader with 7+ years in SaaS products and 3+ years managing product teams, with a passion for creating new products.
- A Leader of Leaders: Someone who can lead a team of senior PMs, driving strategic directions while being able to dive deep into the product domain when necessary.
- A Systems & UX Thinker: Someone with strong UX skills and the ability to craft seamless user journeys and scalable product patterns.
- A Mobile Strategist: Ideally, a strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate complex B2B workflows into high-frequency mobile experiences.
- An Owner & Process Architect: Someone who thrives on ownership and can help define and refine product lifecycle processes as the company grows.
- Data-Informed & Communicative: Ideally, someone with a strong understanding of data-driven product development and fluency (or high proficiency) in English.
- A Collaborative Peer: Most importantly, a person who enjoys working closely with exceptionally strong peers.
*We operate in a flexible hybrid work model.
