As a Director of Infrastructure Finance at Cohere, your responsibilities include:
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies for infrastructure investments, including planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Optimize infrastructure cost structures and identify financial efficiency opportunities
Establish and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks for infrastructure
Oversee financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics for infrastructure
Lead budgeting processes and track actual vs. planned infrastructure spending
Manage financial risks associated with infrastructure investments and operations
Develop talent and provide career growth opportunities for team members
Foster collaboration with engineering, operations, and product teams
This career opportunity may be a good match for you if you have:
12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years specifically focused on infrastructure or cloud hardware finance.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling and the ability to translate technical engineering roadmaps into financial outcomes.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure financing models and economics
Knowledge of technology infrastructure trends and cost optimization strategies
Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Preferred Attributes
Preferred experience at a hyperscaler (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Meta, Microsoft, or Oracle) or similar large-scale technology infrastructure companies.
Ability to think 3+ years ahead regarding technological shifts and financial implications.
Proven track record of influencing senior technical leaders and "speaking the language" of both software engineers and accountants.
Comfort operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where infrastructure needs can shift rapidly due to product demand and shifting market conditions.
