About Clay
Our mission is to help organizations turn any growth idea into reality.
We see growth as a creative practice, not a formula. Finding and reaching your best-fit customers takes unique ideas and constant iteration. As AI makes execution faster and tactics easier to copy, creativity is the only lasting advantage. We're already helping thousands of customers — including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp — go to market with unique data, signals, and AI research.
In 2025, we raised a $100M Series C backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round — and crossed $100M in revenue.
In 2026, we announced our second employee tender offer in 9 months at a new $5B valuation. We also launched a community equity round, for our customers, agency partners, and club members.

About Startup Programs
Today, Clay’s Startup Programs include our Startup GTM Accelerator Wedge and Campus Ambassador program. The goal of our Startup Programs is to enable GTME within startups and students and upskill them with Clay. You’ll be responsible for running point on operations for our existing programs, scaling them, making them better, marketing them, and ideating on new ones.
Reporting to our Startup Ecosystem Lead, you’ll be responsible for setting a vision for Clay’s Startup Programs while systematizing operations, intaking feedback, and constantly thinking about how we can iterate and improve them.
You have a deep passion for supporting startups and empathy for their journey. You get fired up by the idea of working with startup founders, GTM leaders, and students as they navigate the winding road of early-stage company building.
That means owning:
What You'll Do
Become a Clay expert on startup-focused workflows. You will spend time to deeply understand how to use our product in order to answer questions from founders, GTM leaders and students.
Run day to day communications and operations for our existing startup programs (and create new ones) and serve as the point of contact for participants. You'll be responsible for outcomes and build relationships with program alumni as they continue their relationship with Clay.
Help produce startup-focused events (workshops, livestreams, panels, hackathons, etc.) to assist with enablement, and build brand awareness with the startup community globally.
Represent Clay in the field and online as a conduit for education, awareness, and affinity for Clay for startups.
Create content, marketing materials, assets, and new startup communications like a newsletter to promote startup programs and share stories about the outcomes.
You’ll help develop our funnel by working with our lifecycle, GTM ops, sales, and other teams to integrate the startup program into campaigns and ecosystem distribution to drive interest with our current customers and reach new ones.
Who You Are
A founder in how you treat your programs. You have the itch to build — the kind that keeps you up late because you can't stop thinking about how to make something better.
You feel deep personal ownership over the quality, growth, and impact of everything you touch, most importantly, the relationships you build.
You have a keen attention to detail and show up. You’re in our Slack channels, hosting events, posting online about what you’re doing. You love doing the work and sharing it with others.
A Clay nerd. You love learning about new GTM tools and teaching yourself so you can teach others. You are up to date on what GTM tools exist and where Clay can fit for scaling startups.
A systems thinker who considers how different programs and teams can have a multiplier effect. You are building your own playbooks from scratch, versus turning to an existing one. You’re excited to work across teams to build out and professionalize our programs.
Proven ambition, not just potential. You've already applied a founder mentality to building something somewhere before, whether in an operating role or for yourself. You love going 0 to 1.
Comfortable in ambiguity. Our Startup Ecosystem vertical is a new function you will help build, and you’re okay with not having every answer. But you love figuring out the right questions.
Who You Are Not
A strategist who doesn't run the program. You’ll run cohorts end to end on a day to day basis, while developing a POV on the future of the programs and mapping out a way to get there.
Someone who needs a clear org chart to operate. You’ll work with a number of different teams that will continue to grow and evolve. You'll need to navigate different stakeholders internally and communicate effectively.
Reliant on a lot of oversight. Once you’re on the same page with your manager, you’ll run with it. You’re able to ask questions that unblock you and check if you’re unsure before launching. You’re self sufficient but know when to check in.
Apathetic about the product. Clay expertise is essential, and you’re excited to learn about our newest features and be plugged in on how to communicate them to people in our programs.
Unwilling to roll up your sleeves. This role will require travel across the US and EMEA to connect with startup ecosystems around the world. This gets you hyped. One day you’ll be hosting a workshop in Paris and the next you’ll be hosting a meetup in San Francisco. You thrive in a social environment and love meeting people.
