Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Analyst, People Technology role stands out in SaaS because it treats internal systems as a scaling surface area, not back office maintenance. Owning Workday HCM end to end while partnering across People, Finance, Legal, and IT reflects how SaaS companies increasingly run on tightly connected operational platforms, where clean workflows, security models, and integrations directly affect execution.
For a SaaS career path, the work builds durable operating leverage skills: translating ambiguous business needs into shipped system changes, managing release cycles, and designing automations that reduce manual effort. The emphasis on evaluating AI and automation before conventional configuration also maps to a broader SaaS shift toward intelligent operations, where tooling choices and data flows matter as much as process design.
This role is best suited to someone who prefers ownership over ticket based support and enjoys being the technical translator between HR stakeholders and technical counterparts. It fits a practitioner who likes structured systems work but is comfortable making tradeoffs with incomplete inputs, and who wants to deepen expertise in cross functional SaaS operations through a core platform like Workday.

Job Description
Our People Systems team is looking for a Senior Analyst who knows Workday inside and out and isn't satisfied with just keeping the lights on.
You'll own our Workday HCM configuration and work across the People, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to design and build solutions that actually hold up as we scale. This role reports to the Senior Manager of People Systems. What sets this role apart: we're not looking for someone who defaults to the traditional approach. We want someone who thinks about AI and automation first, and reaches for conventional configuration second.
What you'll do
- Own Workday HCM end-to-end: business processes, domain security, integrations, reporting. You'll lead release planning, stay ahead of new features, and drive adoption across the business.
- Default to automation. Before configuring a traditional solution, ask whether AI or automation can do it better. That mindset should be baked into how you work, not an afterthought.
- Drive implementation of new Workday capabilities. You'll bring options and tradeoffs to the table, not just execute what's handed to you.
- Partner with People, Finance, Legal, and IT to translate business requirements into scoped, implementable solutions and see them through to delivery.
- Support bi-annual compensation planning, Workday Absence, and Workday Benefits configuration and administration on an ongoing basis.
Who you are
-
5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration. You've built business processes, configured security, written reports, and shipped production solutions. You're not just a support resource.
-
System-agnostic by nature. You evaluate the right tool for the problem, not the tool you know best.
-
Solid grasp of core HR processes: onboarding, compensation, performance, terminations, international employment, position management.
-
Strong project management instincts. You can run a technical initiative end-to-end, not just execute individual tasks.
-
Comfortable with ambiguity. You can take a half-formed request, ask the right questions, and come back with a plan.
-
Strong communicator. You can explain a technical tradeoff to an HRBP and an architectural decision to an engineer without losing either of them.
-
Bonus: familiarity with Deel, Greenhouse, Workato, or Databricks.
