Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Solutions and Professional Services Consultant role sits at a core SaaS junction: translating a configurable platform into measurable customer outcomes. The remit spans pre sales discovery through implementation and adoption, which is where many subscription businesses win or lose long term value. In a market like Japan, where enterprise buyers often expect high consultative rigor, the hybrid scope signals a product led services motion that depends on credible workflow design as much as software features.
For a SaaS career path, the role builds durable skills in solution scoping, value articulation, and delivery governance across complex stakeholder groups. Exposure to APIs and ecosystem integration work is particularly transferable across modern SaaS stacks, where customers increasingly judge products by interoperability and automation potential. The cross functional loop with Product and Engineering also offers insight into how field learnings shape roadmap decisions and how teams balance standardization with bespoke requirements.
This position tends to suit professionals who enjoy alternating between executive level storytelling and hands on configuration detail. It fits someone comfortable owning ambiguous problem spaces, aligning Sales and Customer Success priorities, and coaching others through repeatable consulting practices. It also aligns with candidates who want to remain close to the customer while influencing how SaaS is packaged, implemented, and adopted at scale.
