Chief Product & Marketing Officer (CPMO)

Role Overview
The Chief Product & Marketing Officer will lead the organization’s product and growth strategy and is responsible for building and scaling interconnected, high-performance digital products spanning payments, credit, and financial services—driving acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization across all user segments including merchants, consumers, and borrowers.
The CPMO will also own the alignment between product, growth, and marketing across business lines, ensuring unified execution across performance marketing, lifecycle management, brand, and data-led experimentation.
Core Mandate
• Product strategy and end-to-end ownership across merchant, NBFC, and UPI platforms
• Product-led growth across acquisition, activation, retention, and cross-sell
• Monetization across payments, lending, credit products, and financial services ecosystem – both for consumers & merchants
• Growth and performance marketing alignment (digital acquisition + lifecycle + brand)
• Data-driven product decisioning, experimentation, and funnel optimization
• Cross-functional alignment across product, tech, marketing, risk, collections and business teams
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Multi-Platform Development
• Define and execute unified product roadmap across merchant, NBFC, and UPI ecosystems
• Build scalable, interoperable platforms across payments, QR, UPI apps, lending products, and financial services
• Drive ecosystem integration between payments, credit underwriting, and transaction data
• Create differentiated user experiences for merchants, consumers, and borrowers
2. Growth Across Merchant, Consumer & Borrower Ecosystems
• Improve onboarding, activation, and engagement across all user cohorts
• Drive adoption and transaction frequency across UPI and merchant payment flows
• Scale borrower acquisition, credit usage, and repayment journeys within NBFC products
• Translate user, merchant, and borrower insights into product enhancements
3. Monetization & Business Impact
• Drive sustainable revenue growth across payments, lending, credit, and value-added services
• Improve conversion across acquisition-to-monetization funnels across all business lines
• Optimize unit economics across payments, lending, devices and platform products
• Expand cross-sell and upsell across merchant & consumer -financial-consumer ecosystem
4. Growth, Marketing & Ecosystem Alignment
• Partner with performance marketing teams to drive efficient acquisition across UPI, merchant, and lending funnels
• Lead lifecycle marketing, CRM, and retention programs across user segments
• Drive experimentation across digital channels to improve CAC, ROAS, and LTV
• Ensure strong brand and communication consistency across product lines
5. Data, Risk-Aware Execution & Experimentation
• Build strong product analytics, credit analytics, and funnel KPI frameworks
• Drive A/B testing, cohort analysis, and continuous experimentation culture
• Integrate risk signals and credit performance insights into product decisions
• Ensure data-driven prioritization with execution discipline across teams
6. AI Strategy, Intelligence & Product Transformation
• Define and drive the company-wide AI strategy across product, growth, marketing, risk, and operations
• Embed AI/ML capabilities into core platforms across payments, UPI, lending, underwriting, collections, and personalization
• Build AI-first product experiences for merchants, consumers, and borrowers (e.g., intelligent onboarding, credit decisioning, and engagement)
• Leverage AI for hyper-personalization across acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and cross-sell/upsell journeys
• Drive automation across credit underwriting, fraud detection, risk scoring, and collections optimization
• Enable data/AI-driven decision systems for real-time decisioning across product funnels
• Partner with tech/data science teams to scale model governance, deployment, and continuous learning loops
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies (LLMs, agentic workflows, decision engines) to improve efficiency, growth, and unit economics
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 15–22 years of experience in product management / product-led growth roles
• Strong background in fintech, payments, UPI ecosystems, lending, or NBFC businesses
• Experience scaling large-scale consumer and/or SMB financial platforms
• Exposure to credit products, underwriting systems, or NBFC operations is strongly preferred
• Experience in performance marketing or growth-led product organizations is preferred
• High ownership mindset with experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
