Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Security has become a decisive part of SaaS buying and renewal cycles, and this Security Customer Success Engineer role sits directly at that intersection. Rather than operating solely as an internal security function, the position is designed to translate Wrike’s cloud security posture for customer security teams and to unblock commercial motion when risk, compliance, or data handling questions arise. The remit spans both pre sales and post sales, reflecting how modern SaaS vendors increasingly treat trust as a product and go to market capability.
For a SaaS career, the role builds durable leverage across security, customer success, and revenue teams. Experience gained here typically maps well to security solutions engineering, trust and assurance, and security program roles because it requires turning frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 into clear stakeholder narratives. The work also develops repeatable operational skills, including handling questionnaires and RFP style assessments efficiently and feeding recurring customer needs back into product and security roadmaps.
This position tends to suit professionals who enjoy customer facing technical conversations and can switch between deep security detail and business level explanation. It also fits those comfortable managing multiple concurrent requests while coordinating across Security, Sales, and Customer Success, and who value process improvement and high quality written responses as much as live discussions.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
