Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Technical Marketing Engineer roles sit at an important junction in SaaS: they translate a platform’s capabilities into hands-on experiences that shape how the market understands the product. In this case, the remit spans demo applications, proof-of-concepts, and technical assets used across launches, analyst evaluations, and go-to-market motions, signalling a product-led environment where narrative and usability matter alongside engineering craft.
For a SaaS career, this kind of work builds rare leverage. It develops the ability to rapidly internalise a complex platform, identify the most persuasive use cases, and package them into reusable components that can be deployed repeatedly across initiatives. The cross-functional surface area also mirrors how modern SaaS companies operate, with engineering, product marketing, design, sales, and customer teams all influencing what gets built and how it is positioned.
This role tends to suit engineers who enjoy customer-facing problem framing as much as implementation, and who like building polished, audience-ready artifacts rather than internal systems alone. It is a strong match for professionals looking to combine web application development with product storytelling, and for those comfortable iterating quickly with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
Build the experiences that bring technology to life.
How do you help customers, analysts, and prospects understand the power of a platform before they ever use it? By building technical experiences that make complex capabilities tangible, interactive, and memorable.
As a Technical Marketing Engineer on our Technical Marketing team, you'll create the applications, demonstrations, and technical assets that showcase what's possible with Coveo. Working closely with Product Marketing, Design, and Go-to-Market teams, you'll transform platform capabilities into compelling demo experiences that support product launches, analyst evaluations, sales enablement, and marketing initiatives.
As our Technical Marketing Engineer, you will:
Design and develop demo applications, proof-of-concepts, and technical assets that showcase Coveo's platform capabilities and product innovations.
Collaborate with UX designers and Product Marketing teams to build engaging horizontal and industry-specific demo experiences.
Create reusable technical components and frameworks that accelerate demo development across multiple initiatives.
Build technical assets supporting product launches, analyst evaluations, marketing campaigns, and go-to-market programs.
Develop supporting content such as technical blog assets, video demonstrations, sample implementations, and reference architectures.
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to identify compelling use cases and transform them into scalable demo experiences.
Here is what will qualify you for the role:
5+ years of experience building web applications, solutions, or customer-facing technical projects using technologies such as React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web development frameworks.
Experience working directly with customers, prospects, or implementation projects, ideally in consulting, professional services, solutions engineering, or a similar client-facing environment.
Strong ability to understand complex software platforms and quickly translate technical capabilities into functional, user-friendly experiences.
Working knowledge of modern development practices, APIs, cloud technologies, and DevOps concepts.
What will make you stand out:
Experience implementing or configuring the Coveo Platform.
Background building demos, proof-of-concepts, accelerators, or showcase applications for customers or go-to-market teams.
Experience creating technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, workshops, or product launch assets.
Ability to balance technical excellence with storytelling, always keeping the end audience and business objectives in mind.
