Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Staff Product Designer role stands out in the SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of enterprise software and applied AI, where product experience directly influences adoption and trust. The listing signals a platform product with a broad customer footprint, which typically raises the bar on consistency, governance, and usability across complex workflows. Designing for “agentic” AI also reflects a growing SaaS pattern: interfaces must help users understand, steer, and validate automated outputs rather than simply complete forms and screens.
From a SaaS career standpoint, the work maps to durable skills: end to end product thinking, design systems that scale across teams, and research driven iteration tied to real user outcomes. Collaboration with engineering, product, and AI research also builds fluency in how modern SaaS products ship, from prototyping and validation through to production quality interaction design. Experience shaping how AI shows up in core workflows is likely to remain transferable as more SaaS categories adopt similar capabilities.
This role is best suited to a designer who is comfortable owning multiple threads of work, switching between strategy and detail, and communicating decisions clearly across disciplines. It will appeal to someone who prefers ambiguity in problem framing, values craft in interaction design, and wants to influence product direction through both systems thinking and hands on execution.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

Role Overview
As a Staff Product Designer at Harvey, you’ll manage multiple projects from ideation to launch. You’ll create high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes that transform complex problems into intuitive solutions. Working closely with engineers, AI researchers, product managers, and lawyers, you’ll incorporate AI in meaningful ways—crafting interfaces that help users understand, trust, and effectively guide AI outputs.
We’re looking for someone with strong interaction design instincts, visual design sensibility, and collaboration—someone who sweats the details, welcomes feedback, and elevates ideas through tight cross-functional teamwork.
What You'll Do
Lead the design of end-to-end product experiences, from initial concept through polished execution.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and AI researchers to translate business objectives into user-centered designs.
Shape and refine our design system to ensure a cohesive and scalable visual language across the product.
Conduct user research to uncover pain points and opportunities, leveraging insights to inform design decisions.
Develop prototypes to explore and validate new features, workflows, and interactions.
Champion a high design bar, helping the team make thoughtful, intentional decisions at every step.
Promote and develop best practices in designing with AI.
What You Have
8+ years of experience designing products in a fast-paced environment, with a portfolio that demonstrates your best work.
Ability to tackle complex challenges and transform them into simple, intuitive experiences.
Ability to change altitude from design details to big picture thinking, while maintaining a high pace of execution and quality bar.
Deep understanding of design systems and a strong sense of visual and interaction design craft.
Experience conducting user research and applying insights to design decisions.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.
