Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Director-level enterprise sales role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the point where subscription software meets high-stakes, multi-stakeholder transformation buying. The remit signals a company selling a technical platform into large industrial enterprises, where commercial success depends on translating product capability into executive-level business cases and long-horizon programs.
For a SaaS career, the value is in building durable enterprise GTM craft that travels across categories: shaping complex deals, aligning technical and commercial stakeholders, and turning early wins into repeatable motions. The emphasis on creating a C-level engagement playbook and operating with direct visibility to senior leadership points to experience that strengthens strategic selling, account planning, and the operational discipline needed to scale enterprise revenue.
This role best fits professionals who prefer consultative work over transactional selling and who are comfortable owning ambiguous, first-principles problems. It suits someone who enjoys working across strategy and execution, can earn trust with senior customer leaders, and wants to help define how an enterprise sales function is run rather than stepping into a fully established process.

Job Description
We are hiring a
Director Strategic Accounts to combine the rigor of top-tier consulting with the drive to win multi-million-dollar deals at the world's largest industrial customers. You will work directly with C-level executives in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, electronics, medical devices, and energy - shaping AI-driven engineering transformation programs that reset how the products of tomorrow are designed.
Your opportunity
- Be the founding member of SimScale's strategic enterprise sales function.
- Own and run strategic transformation programs at Forbes Global 2000 industrial enterprises.
- Partner directly with CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, and VPs of Engineering on the shift from simulation-as-validation to AI-as-design.
- Build the C-level engagement playbook - and the team underneath it as the function scales.
- Operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and commercial outcomes, with full visibility to founders and CRO.
What we expect from you
- 5-10 years in strategy or implementation consulting (Porsche Consulting, Siemens Management Consulting, Alten, Capgemini, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Roland Berger, or similar).
- Demonstrated industrial-sector experience (auto, aerospace, industrial equipment, electronics, medical devices, energy).
- Track record originating and shaping multi-million-dollar transformation projects with C-level stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence; consultative selling instincts (not a pure quota-carrying enterprise seller).
- Mission-motivated, founding-member energy: you build the playbook, you do not wait for it.
- English required, German strong plus; willing to travel across Europe and to the US for key accounts.
What you can expect from us
- A founding-member seat at a category-defining engineering AI company.
- Direct line to founders (CEO, COO) and CRO. No corporate filter.
- The chance to build and lead a function rather than slot into one.
- Competitive senior consulting compensation, equity upside, and full benefits.
- Multicultural team (35+ nationalities), flexible work, relocation and visa support.
