Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Senior FP&A roles are a core lever in SaaS because subscription businesses live and die by forecast accuracy, disciplined spend, and clear visibility into GTM efficiency. This position sits close to those mechanics, partnering across Sales, GTM, and corporate functions while reporting to a VP of Finance, which signals meaningful proximity to decision-making in a data-driven SaaS environment. The added emphasis on modernising finance through automation and AI reflects a broader shift in SaaS operators toward faster, more self-serve insight generation.
For a SaaS finance career, the value here is breadth. Supporting planning, headcount, and operating expense management across multiple functions builds fluency in how recurring-revenue companies translate pipeline activity and capacity plans into budgets and targets. The remit also includes building models, dashboards, and executive reporting, which strengthens the analytical toolkit that transfers well across SaaS stages, from scaling GTM teams to tightening unit economics.
This role suits an analyst who enjoys business partnering as much as modelling, and who is comfortable turning ambiguous questions into structured analyses. It is a strong fit for someone looking for high-visibility work, frequent stakeholder interaction, and hands-on ownership of planning and reporting systems in a SaaS context.
