Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Solutions Consultant role sits in a classic SaaS junction point where product capability meets real customer environments. In a company like PagerDuty, whose platform is embedded in incident response and IT operations, pre sales work tends to be highly technical and integration heavy, with frequent exposure to security, reliability, and stakeholder alignment across engineering and business teams.
From a SaaS career perspective, solutions consulting builds a durable toolkit: technical discovery, translating workflows into product configuration, and guiding evaluation cycles with credible architecture guidance. The emphasis on integrations and answering RFP and security questionnaires also develops fluency in the operational realities that shape enterprise SaaS adoption, which transfers well into roles spanning sales engineering leadership, customer success architecture, or product facing technical strategy.
This position will suit professionals who enjoy switching between hands on problem solving and structured communication, and who prefer being accountable for moving complex evaluations forward. It is a strong match for someone comfortable engaging both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders, and who values work that rewards precision, curiosity, and the ability to teach without oversimplifying.
