Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Product Manager role sits at the intersection of SaaS workflow automation and regulated decisioning, focused on verifications that employers depend on at scale. In the broader SaaS ecosystem, identity and trust infrastructure tends to be both product critical and operationally complex, with multiple data sources, compliance constraints, and clear reliability expectations. That makes the domain a strong proving ground for product leaders who can balance user experience with risk, accuracy, and throughput.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit offers practice in end to end product ownership where metrics discipline matters. The work connects discovery and competitive awareness to roadmap choices, then ties execution to measurable outcomes such as conversion and attach rate. Exposure to pricing and packaging, launch coordination, and cross functional decision making with Engineering, Operations, GTM, and Finance builds a toolkit that transfers well across B2B SaaS products that monetize via usage, add ons, or workflow expansion.
The role fits product managers who prefer high accountability scopes and can operate with limited oversight while staying close to customers and data. It will suit someone comfortable making trade offs in technical and operational constraints, and who enjoys translating ambiguous market signals into crisp specs, OKRs, and stakeholder alignment.

Job Description
About the team/role
Hiring decisions carry real consequences, for the safety of a workplace, the integrity of a workforce, and the trust employers place in the people they bring on. Employers today run verification checks across employment history, education, criminal records, driving records, and more, each with its own data sources, compliance requirements, and failure modes. As hiring volume grows, employers need verification products that are fast, accurate, and easy to trust, not a source of delay or risk.
As Senior Product Manager for Checkr's Verifications products, you will own the strategy and roadmap for a core part of the background check experience. You will improve accuracy and speed for employers while reducing friction for candidates, strengthening trust in the hiring process at every step. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams to ship market-leading verification products, using data and direct customer input to guide every decision.
What you’ll do
- Strategy & roadmap: Own strategy & roadmap for Drug & Occupational Health testing services, grounding decisions in customer discovery, GTM input, and data analysis.
- Voice of the customer: represent customer needs directly in product and technical design discussions, not just via research reports
- Competitive/market awareness: track competitor moves and market shifts that affect roadmap priorities
- Drive outcomes: Define and drive OKRs, connecting input metrics (attach rate, conversion rate, RPR) to output impact (revenue and profit).
- Implementation: Write clear specs and PRDs independently, and lead ops reviews that keep the team focused on the right metrics. Make implementation trade-off decisions, balancing speed, quality, and customer impact.
- Pricing & packaging ownership: partner with Finance/GTM to define pricing and packaging for your product area
- Launch leadership: own go-to-market coordination for releases — enablement, positioning input, and rollout sequencing
- Communicate roadmap, goals, and progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Model Checkr's values and build strong relationships within and beyond your immediate team.
What you bring
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning strategy and roadmap for a product area with minimal oversight
- Deep fluency with data and analytics; comfortable defining and interpreting metrics like attach rate, conversion rate, and RPR
- Comfortable partnering closely with engineering on technical trade-offs, API/platform decisions, or system constraints
- Strong customer discovery instincts — you talk to customers directly and pair that insight with GTM and research input to build product hypotheses
- Proven ability to write crisp PRDs and specs without manager guidance
- Experience navigating ambiguity and driving cross-functional alignment across GTM, Ops, and Finance stakeholders
- An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
