Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy - Enterprise
The Role:
The Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy is a highly strategic, influential, cross-functional and data driven position focused primarily on the Jewelry category. The role is responsible for developing and executing strategic merchandising initiatives that drive revenue growth, optimize inventory and enhance the in-store shopping experience across various brands. They will drive performance through effective strategies ensuring brand alignment, in order to meet or exceed targets for store performance and account growth.
The ability to translate qualitative and quantitative brand specific and platform wide data into actionable strategies is a key competency for this role. Fine Jewelry experience is strongly preferred.
The Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy will report into the Senior Direct of Merchandising Strategy and work collaboratively with our Platform Performance and Retail Success partners. This role is classified as L5 and encompasses all competencies associated with this level.
Core Responsibilities:
Merchandising Strategy
- Own the overall merchandising strategy for a subset of our Enterprise brands, acting as a trusted partner, to advise on areas such as product assortment, pricing and promotions to improve performance.
- Analyze key business metrics and category performance to develop store specific strategies that drive revenue and optimize performance.
- Leverage selling data, Platform insights, inventory position and trends to provide ongoing merchandising recommendations to brands: including bi-weekly replenishments and new product launches.
- Collaborate with and influence brand partners to continuously optimize assortments ensuring localized product mixes tailored to store-specific demand.
- Facilitate executive-level meetings to align on merchandising strategy with mutually beneficial outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
- Partner with cross functional teams to create and implement programs focused on optimizing inventory operations and driving incremental sales lift.
- Participate in key internal and external meetings to drive both brand and store-level insights, performance, and feedback.
- Lead workflows or projects to support and optimize the Merchandising function across Enterprise accounts
- Provide thought leadership to both field leaders and Brand partners.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage Merchant(s) on all Enterprise accounts (RTW, Fine Jewelry + Accessories), including setting goals and objectives, providing coaching and development and conducting performance evaluations
- Serve as the Senior Merchandising leader for all Enterprise / Premier brands, providing strategic oversight and representing the full portfolio in cross-functional meetings with key partners
Outcomes & Measures of Success:
- Brand & store-level financial, operational, and in store experience KPIs consistently achieved
- Continuous development and improvement of inventory strategies to maintain healthy levels of inventory across our stores limiting out of stocks and walked sales
- Deliver high quality work and collaboration with brands that result in positive NPS results and brand contract renewals.
- Build, inspire and lead a high performing Merchandising team for Enterprise brands
Salary Range Transparency
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. All corporate roles are eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
