Why this Role is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Senior accounting roles in SaaS sit close to the mechanics that make subscription businesses legible: revenue timing, consolidation, and the reporting rhythm that supports board-level visibility. This position at Checkr is notable because it emphasizes accurate, timely financial reporting under US GAAP while also touching technical accounting and standard adoption—areas that often become more consequential as SaaS companies mature in complexity and scrutiny.
From a career standpoint, the mix of month-end close ownership, financial statement analysis, and audit support builds a toolkit that transfers across SaaS finance organizations. Process improvement responsibility is particularly relevant in software companies where systems, controls, and tooling often evolve alongside product and go-to-market changes. Exposure to close management and cloud ERP environments also maps well to how modern SaaS finance teams operate.
