Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Professional Services roles sit at a critical junction in SaaS: they translate a multi-tenant product into a working, production-grade deployment inside a customer’s environment. In PagerDuty’s case, the work centers on onboarding, custom integrations, and platform implementation across DevOps, SRE, and IT operations use cases, where reliability workflows and incident response tooling tend to be deeply embedded in day-to-day operations.
From a SaaS career perspective, this position builds durable experience in implementation methodology, repeatable delivery, and stakeholder communication across technical and executive audiences. The emphasis on APIs, automation, and AWS-backed integration work reflects a common reality in modern SaaS adoption: value is realized when the product connects cleanly to existing systems such as ITSM, monitoring, and infrastructure tooling, and when configurations can scale across teams.
This role tends to suit a technologist who enjoys customer-facing problem solving while staying close to hands-on build work. It aligns well with professionals who like balancing delivery management with deep technical discovery, and who want a SaaS path that stays adjacent to product and sales without moving into purely commercial responsibilities.
