Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Senior Technical Recruiter roles matter in SaaS because hiring capacity is a direct constraint on product delivery and go to market execution. In a public, distributed SaaS organization like PagerDuty, recruiting sits close to Engineering and Product priorities, with headcount decisions shaped by competitive talent markets and ongoing platform investment rather than one off project cycles.
For a recruiting professional building a SaaS career, this remit develops durable skills in full cycle technical hiring, stakeholder partnership, and process improvement. The emphasis on data, feedback loops, and leveraging internal AI tools reflects how modern SaaS talent teams operate, treating recruiting as an operational system that can be measured and iterated. Experience sourcing across global pools also translates well across SaaS companies that hire in multiple regions and time zones.
This role tends to suit someone who prefers autonomy and structured problem solving, and who is comfortable influencing senior leaders while maintaining a high touch candidate experience. It also aligns with recruiters who like balancing creative sourcing with consistent execution, and who want their work tied closely to how SaaS teams scale engineering capability over time.
