About the Role:
Are you ready to lead Wrike’s newest chapter in India? We are looking for an energetic, results-driven Team Leader, Account Development (APAC) to spearhead our newly created India-based team. This is a pivotal M2-level leadership role designed to support our rapid expansion across the APAC region, specifically focusing on the VSB and SMB segments.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director in Australia, you will function as a Player-Coach. You will lead by example, carrying a personal quota while simultaneously providing direct oversight and guidance to a team of individual contributors. You will act as a bridge between our new India hub and the global organization, ensuring our APAC strategy is executed with precision.
Your Impact:
- Quota Excellence (Player-Coach): Drive both individual and team-level success by meeting and exceeding sales quotas for the APAC VSB/SMB segments.
- Team Leadership & Growth: Supervise day-to-day activities for the India-based ADM team, focusing on immediate performance and successful project completion.
- AI Champion: Champion a high-tech sales culture by leveraging AI tools (including Wrike AI and Gemini) to architect strategic sales plans and drive predictive forecasting. You will utilize AI to evaluate team calls, providing data-backed coaching to ensure the team operates at the forefront of AI-adopted sales excellence.
- Global Collaboration: Partner closely with ADM leadership in Europe to align global best practices with APAC-specific regional expansion.
- Coaching & Development: Support team growth through mentoring and the use of Professional Development Plans (PDPs) to help individual contributors reach their full potential.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve team performance by refining processes and implementing innovative approaches to boost efficiency.
Your Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing the end-to-end sales cycle for SaaS or technology solutions, with a proven record of driving growth and retention.
- SaaS Acumen: A deep understanding of the SaaS industry, including key players, financial metrics, and the impact of the team’s work on the overall business.
- Communication Mastery: Proficient in verbal and written communication, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and encourage open dialogue within a new team.
- Critical Thinking: A problem-solving and curious mindset, capable of making decisions that contribute to overall team productivity.
- Agility: The ability to adjust to routine changes and help the team adapt to minor variations as the APAC territory expands.
Standout Qualities:
- AI Enthusiast: Deep interest or experience in using Gemini/ChatGPT and work management AI to transform sales workflows.
- Cultural Architect: Experience building or being a founding member of a newly created regional team.
- Collaborative Spirit: Proven ability to work across time zones and collaborate seamlessly with international counterparts.
Team Dynamics:
You will be part of the collaborative, growth-minded Wrike Account Development Team. While based in India, you will work closely with Professional Services, Renewals, and Marketing, as well as our European-based ADM leadership. You will report to the Sales Director (Australia) to deliver tailored solutions to our diverse APAC customer base.
Our Work Style:
- The Tech Stack: We leverage industry-leading tools, including Wrike AI and Gemini, to automate workflows and drive smart territory analysis.
- Collaborative Culture: Work alongside ambitious, supportive colleagues who celebrate wins together in a fast-paced environment.
- Structured Enablement: Benefit from ongoing sales enablement and Master Class training to help you master our product and leadership skills.
