Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Security SaaS increasingly depends on endpoint telemetry that feeds cloud analytics, and this role sits directly on that boundary. Working on a macOS sensor for a data security product group reflects a mature, platform-led SaaS model where customer value is delivered through both local enforcement and cloud-side correlation. The emphasis on system extensions, file interfaces, and high-volume event processing signals work that is tightly coupled to real-world macOS behavior rather than purely backend abstractions.
For a long-term SaaS engineering career, this kind of position builds durable expertise in how SaaS security products are actually instrumented and operated at scale. Ownership from design to delivery and frequent shipping practices translate well across SaaS organizations that rely on iterative release cycles and measurable outcomes. The role also naturally develops cross-functional coordination skills, since endpoint engineering must align with cloud ingestion, detection logic, and customer-reported issue resolution.
This position tends to fit engineers who enjoy deep platform work and are comfortable balancing correctness, performance, and maintainability in production software. It also suits professionals who prefer end-to-end feature accountability and pragmatic debugging, especially when issues originate in customer environments. Candidates motivated by the intersection of macOS internals and SaaS-delivered security capabilities are likely to find the scope aligned.

Job Description
As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
About the Team:
You'll be joining the Data Protection Team in our Data Security Product Group, whose
mission is to build a unified data security system which enables customers to identify and investigate insider threats, identify access to and movement of sensitive data, and ensure regulatory compliance by mitigating data loss risk.
About the Role:
CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a “sensor”: a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second to provide deep visibility into operations on the endpoint, and performs rich correlation and computation to identify malicious events and blocks malicious activity.
The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network, correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.
This is a macOS Developer role in the engineering team that delivers data protection-focused functionality in the sensor (lightweight agent) on macOS. Engineers in the team own the design and development of core features on the platform. Data protection-focused functionality centers around file interfaces, including related Endpoint Security System Extension interfaces. The team operates under the Agile development principles and ships frequently.
What You'll Do:
Design and develop data protection-focused system extensions and associated services for deployment on macOS systems
Own features from design to delivery
Collaborate with multi-functional team in various physical locations
Troubleshoot issues with the product as reported from customers responsively
Other projects as assigned
What You’ll Need:
Ability to develop high-quality code in C+ and/or Objective-C
Ability to demonstrate Objective-C and/or C++ development capabilities, be it through job experience or contributions to community projects
Experience with macOS debugging tools and frameworks
#LI-DS1
