Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Director role sits at a key intersection of SaaS product delivery and regulated financial infrastructure. In fintech-led SaaS environments, legal decisions influence what can ship, how customer journeys are designed, and which partnerships are viable. The remit here spans product and regulatory advisory alongside complex commercial contracting, reflecting how modern SaaS businesses increasingly embed payments, lending, and data flows into the core product rather than treating them as add-ons.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work builds durable leverage across multiple company stages: translating evolving regulation into product constraints, creating repeatable contracting frameworks, and supporting go to market initiatives without slowing execution. Experience with areas like KYC and AML, digital lending guidelines, and data protection also travels well across SaaS categories that handle sensitive data, platform integrations, or marketplace models. The emphasis on playbooks, templates, and process design signals exposure to legal operations thinking that scales.
This role tends to fit a senior legal professional who prefers cross-functional problem solving with product, compliance, and commercial leaders. It also suits someone motivated by ambiguity in regulated product development and who enjoys balancing risk, customer impact, and business practicality in day to day decisions.
