Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Business Analyst role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it sits at the intersection of product, operations, and executive decision-making in a B2B platform serving global payroll and payments. In subscription businesses where retention and expansion depend on reliable service delivery across many geographies, analytics becomes a core layer of the product and the operating model. The remit to translate leadership questions into actionable insight signals a role tied to real business levers rather than reporting for its own sake.
From a SaaS career perspective, the “build” emphasis matters. Establishing first-generation dashboards, defining scalable metrics, and shaping data infrastructure mirrors the work many scaling SaaS companies face when moving from ad hoc analysis to repeatable performance management. Experience designing AI-ready reporting and modeling also travels well across modern SaaS orgs where self-serve analytics and automation are increasingly expected.
This position is best suited to an analyst who prefers ownership, ambiguity, and direct stakeholder engagement. It fits someone comfortable moving between SQL-level detail and narrative recommendations, and who wants a visible seat at the table while creating foundational analytics assets that others will rely on.

Papaya Global is a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn with an ambitious mission to revolutionize the payroll & payments industry. With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, our innovative technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to managing and paying employees in over 160 countries.
We're looking for a Strategic Business Analyst - someone who takes a complex business question, digs into the data, and comes back with a clear point of view and direction. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have a real seat at the table.
This is a build role. We're scaling our analytics foundation, so you'll have the opportunity to shape how we work with data - designing the reports and dashboards that will become our core decision-making tools, built to be scalable and AI-ready.
What you'll do:
- Work with leadership to translate business questions into insights that drive decisions
- Build our first core reports and dashboards from the ground up
- Design clean, scalable data infrastructure with the future in mind
- Be a thought partner, not just an executor
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years in business analysis, strategy, or a data-driven role
- Strong business intuition alongside solid technical skills (SQL, BI tools, data modeling)
- Experience building analytics infrastructure, not just working with existing ones
- ·AI native - you use AI tools as a natural part of how you work, think, and solve problems
- ·Clear, sharp communicator who can make data accessible to any audience
- Comfortable with ownership and ambiguity - you figure things out
