Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Business Analyst role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it sits at the intersection of product economics, operations, and decision-making in a B2B platform handling complex, multi-country payroll and payments workflows. In SaaS businesses with global, compliance-sensitive surfaces, analytics is not a reporting function so much as a mechanism for reducing uncertainty and aligning leaders on what to build, fix, or scale.
The long-term career value here comes from building an analytics foundation rather than inheriting one. Establishing core dashboards, shaping data models, and translating ambiguous questions into measurable insights are durable SaaS skills that transfer across product-led and sales-led environments. The “AI-ready” emphasis also signals modern expectations around tooling and workflow design, which increasingly differentiates analysts in SaaS organisations.
This role is best suited for professionals who prefer ownership over handoffs and who are comfortable operating close to senior stakeholders. It will fit someone who enjoys turning messy inputs into crisp narratives, balancing business intuition with technical rigor, and setting standards that others will later rely on. It is also a strong match for analysts who want their work to influence strategy, not just monitor performance.

Job Description
Papaya Global is a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn with an ambitious mission to revolutionize the payroll & payments industry. With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, our innovative technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to managing and paying employees in over 160 countries.
We're looking for a Strategic Business Analyst - someone who takes a complex business question, digs into the data, and comes back with a clear point of view and direction. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have a real seat at the table.
This is a build role. We're scaling our analytics foundation, so you'll have the opportunity to shape how we work with data - designing the reports and dashboards that will become our core decision-making tools, built to be scalable and AI-ready.
What you'll do:
- Work with leadership to translate business questions into insights that drive decisions
- Build our first core reports and dashboards from the ground up
- Design clean, scalable data infrastructure with the future in mind
- Be a thought partner, not just an executor
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years in business analysis, strategy, or a data-driven role
- Strong business intuition alongside solid technical skills (SQL, BI tools, data modeling)
- Experience building analytics infrastructure, not just working with existing ones
- AI native - you use AI tools as a natural part of how you work, think, and solve problems
- Clear, sharp communicator who can make data accessible to any audience
- Comfortable with ownership and ambiguity - you figure things out
