Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Head of Agentic AI role stands out in today’s SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of self-serve product design and applied AI automation. The listing describes an internal “startup within a startup” building a new product line that blends proprietary data with customer data—an increasingly common pattern in SaaS as platforms differentiate through workflow intelligence rather than standalone features.
From a SaaS career perspective, the position offers a rare mix of 0→1 product creation and production-grade engineering concerns: orchestration, observability, safety, and reliability. The remit also includes shaping packaging and pricing logic, which is valuable exposure for leaders aiming to understand how technical choices translate into a scalable SaaS offering, especially when moving from design partners to early adopters.
This role is best suited to a hands-on technical leader who prefers ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and close collaboration with Product and customers. It will appeal to someone who wants to set direction while still building, and who is motivated by creating a new capability that must integrate with existing data, application, and DevOps foundations rather than operating in isolation.

Description
The 4M story is likely one you haven’t heard before: We are on a mission to unlock access to the world below us, to do for the world below ground what Google Maps did for the world above. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we are mapping subsurface infrastructure to make reliable, real-time utility data accessible to the construction industry, completely transforming the industry. We’re a growing startup with 100 employees currently based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Austin, Texas.
We are establishing an internal “startup within a startup” to build a new product line: a self-service, agentic AI workflow platform that combines our proprietary data with our customers’ data to automate and replace manual, client-side processes.
We are looking for a visionary, hands-on leader who can take an idea from zero to product, work closely with Product and customers, run experiments fast, and inspire a small team of strong builders. You will contribute to both the technical and product direction of this new line.
This is a key founder-mindset role inside a scaling startup. A rare opportunity to define an entirely new capability within a company - one that can become a pillar of the business.
What You’ll Do
Build & lead a new business unit
- Establish and lead a small, competent, multidisciplinary team.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire top talent.
Define & build the agentic AI product
- Design and develop an agentic workflow system.
- Define system architecture, agent patterns, interaction models, orchestration, observability, and safety.
- Balance experimentation with production-grade engineering and reliability.
Partner with Product & customers
- Work nearly day-to-day with the Product team.
- Engage directly with design partners and later with early adopters.
- Translate vision into experiments, MVPs, and short-term roadmaps.
- Help shape UX, system behavior, product packaging, and pricing logic.
Collaborate across the company
- Integrate with our Data, App, and DevOps teams.
- Leverage existing infrastructure while building new, independent components.
- Influence the broader company’s approach to agentic AI systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of people leadership experience.
- Proven experience building and shipping customer-facing products from scratch.
- Experience leading 0 to 1 initiatives in startup or innovation environments.
- Strong full-stack understanding (system design, backend, APIs, data, DevOps, UI).
- Experience with complex workflows/automation/orchestration tools.
- Working with ambiguity and incomplete requirements.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience building or experimenting with agentic AI systems, LLM applications, autonomous workflows, or copilots.
- Background in founding or early startup roles.
- Experience in Innovation/CTO Office.
Who You Are
- A builder, not just a planner.
- Technically deep, but product-minded.
- Curious, fast-learning, pragmatic.
- Comfortable setting the direction before the map exists.
- You lead by example.
- You inspire confidence and momentum.
