Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Application Engineer role sits at an increasingly common intersection in SaaS: high-touch implementation work for a specialized vertical platform, where customer outcomes depend on translating domain workflows into reliable software configurations. With an Architectural AI product, the implementation surface area spans structured data, design tools, and real-world operational constraints—making the role relevant to SaaS companies building category-defining products in non-traditional software markets.
From a SaaS career perspective, the position offers durable experience in the mechanics of product adoption: scoping requirements, validating data quality, troubleshooting production issues, and closing the loop with engineering and product. Work that combines integration delivery with feedback into usability tends to build strong judgment about what scales—processes, documentation, and repeatable workflows—skills that transfer across B2B SaaS roles in solutions engineering, implementation leadership, or product-facing technical programs.
The role is best suited to professionals who enjoy ambiguity-to-structure work, are comfortable owning end-to-end delivery, and can switch between customer communication and technical problem solving. It particularly fits someone who wants to apply architectural tooling knowledge (Revit/CAD) inside a SaaS environment without moving into purely sales-oriented responsibilities.

Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer with strong architectural experience to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality implementations of qbiq’s Architectural AI platform.
qbiq is pioneering a new category in the real estate industry with the first-ever Architectural AI platform. By automating and democratizing architectural capabilities, qbiq empowers stakeholders - non-designers and designers alike - to plan, visualize, and optimize any space in minutes.
This innovation eliminates delays, manual inefficiencies, and high costs traditionally tied to architectural planning.
Growing rapidly, qbiq is backed by top-tier VCs and has already planned over 600 million square feet in less than two years, serving global industry leaders such as Brookfield, JLL, Skanska, IWG, and many more.
We are looking for an Application Engineer who will own and drive client-facing technical implementations from end to end. You will serve as the bridge between our customers and our internal technical teams, ensuring seamless, accurate, and scalable integrations.
This role blends architectural expertise with technical depth, solution design, hands-on troubleshooting, and a strong product mindset.
In this role, you will translate customization requirements into clear technical tasks, design and validate workflows, support customer adoption, and ensure the platform performs flawlessly in production environments.
The core challenge:
Deliver and scale integrations that transform raw architectural data into automated, intelligent planning workflows, while ensuring customers get maximum value from qbiq’s platform.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end integration projects with enterprise clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Analyze client workflows and translate them into structured technical and architectural requirements.
- Configure, test, and validate product features and integrations to ensure functionality meets client needs.
- Work closely with engineering, data, and architectural teams to align on scope, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows.
- Handle large datasets, manage multiple Excel files, and build BI dashboards that surface insights and drive decisions.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients, guiding them on best practices and product capabilities.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve technical challenges in real time.
- Use Revit and CAD expertise to validate architectural data, ensure accuracy, and support integration logic.
- Deliver clear, polished presentations, training materials, and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve product usability and contribute feedback to the product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in integration work, application engineering, project management, or architectural project coordination.
- Strong architectural background with hands-on experience in Revit and CAD.
- Strong technical orientation: Excel, BI tools, large dataset handling, data validation, and structured problem solving.
- Experience with product configuration, testing, or technical troubleshooting - a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Degree in Architecture or a related field.
Experience in architecture, construction, SaaS, or proptech is an advantage.
