### Why this Role is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Agent engineering is emerging as a distinct discipline inside modern SaaS, sitting between product engineering, integrations, and applied AI. This role stands out because it is anchored in enterprise deployments across multiple customer channels (voice, chat, email) and languages, where reliability and measurable outcomes matter more than demos. That production orientation reflects where AI in SaaS is heading: operational systems embedded in existing workflows rather than standalone tools.
From a career perspective, the work builds durable SaaS skills around end-to-end delivery: translating ambiguous business problems into system design, connecting to CRMs and back-office platforms via APIs, and improving performance through monitoring and iteration. Owning “agent quality” in production also maps closely to core SaaS operating rhythms—instrumentation, feedback loops, and continuous improvement—experience that transfers across AI-native and traditional SaaS products alike.

Job Description
Description
Wonderful enables enterprises to build, test, deploy, and monitor AI agents for their most complex needs, serving customers and employees seamlessly across voice, chat, email, and back-office systems in any language or cultural context.
Role Overview
Build AI agents that actually work; at enterprise scale, in any language:
- As an Agent Engineer at Wonderful, you'll work directly with Israel's largest enterprises to design, build, and deploy AI agents that achieve 80%+ resolution rates without human intervention.
- You'll own the full lifecycle: understanding complex customer challenges, architecting multi-flow solutions, integrating with enterprise systems, and iterating until the agent performs well in production.
- We're looking for engineers who are energized by both technical depth and customer impact.
What you'll do:
- Build production AI agents from scratch - across voice, chat, and email channels. Not prototypes, but systems handling real enterprise traffic at scale.
- Design and implement tool architectures - that connect agents to customer APIs, databases, CRMs, and back-office systems so they can execute real-world tasks
- Own agent quality end-to-end - measure performance, diagnose failures, an tune for accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ship high-quality solutions on tight timelines
Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related STEM field
- Strong programming skills with hands-on experience in APIs, backend logic, and system integrations
- Excellent English, written and spoken
- Genuine passion for AI and a drive to build things that work
Strong advantage:
- Familiarity developing AI agents
- Experience with TypeScript
- Background in technical customer-facing roles (solutions engineering, integrations, technical consulting)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog
